This was my pick for a while, but I'm looking for something better. What's your pick?

La Maison de Vanille Absolu de Vanille.... $100

Mona di Orio Nombres de Vanille..... $175

Also try L'Occitane Eau des Baux I just purchased this stuff Sat and wearing it today and it is amazing the dry down is a great balmy vanilla....$50.

Tobacco Vanilla
Guerlains SDV
Mona di Orio Vanilla
Diptyque Eau Duelle
Molinard Vanilla

For a simple, creamy vanilla dry down, and a very good price to go with that, I would recommend L'Occitane's Eau de Baux.
+1 Eau des Baux by L'Occitane (affordable, but quality frag -- my current favorite)
+1 Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford

Les Nombres d'Or Vanille by Mona di Orio

I second especially Jaipur.

Very unisex, in spite that it may be marketed for a non-male customer base: Vanille Noir by Yves Rocher, actually, a very dark and leathery vanilla.

mostly SDV

The TV I'm wearing right now is very heavy on the vanilla, so I'd go with that.

Musc Maori
Tea
(Comme Des Garcons - although I'm not sure if it even has vanilla in it but I get the impression strong in the drydown and I love it, although it's hardly a vanilla fragrance...)

Guerlain - Jicky.

Caron offers two choises: Pour un homme (which is nice) and Le Troisieme Homme (which is great). Great value for a small price.
Tobacco Vanille is the one that does vanilla the best imo.

I prefer Guerlain's S. Double Vanille over Mona Di Orio.
Bvlgari Black
+1 Tobacco Vanille
Jaipur EDP is a Vanilla BOMB, no other masculine vanilla fragrance stands up IMO.

no doubt, hands down
All of them, but especially Spiriteuse, yes indeedy.
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille
Creed Sublime Vanille

A lot of interesting recommendations here... Some modern, some old school, others just plain weird lol

As a 27 year old who likes modern compositions that push the envelope but smell great, I'd go with either Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Patchouli 24 or Eau Duelle.
Tobacco Vanille
Le Male
Going on lower price and the higher end
Guerlain Shalimar.

Shalimar Parfum (possibly vintage). No doubts.

Many, many greats. Here's a few of my favourites:

Guerlain's Jicky & Cuir Beluga
Parfumerie Generale's Felanilla 21 & Aomassai 10
Le Labo's Vanille 44
Martine Micallef's Vanille Aoud
L'Artisan Parfumeur's Havana Vanille
Profumum's Acqua e Zucchero
Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur
Diptyque's Eau Duelle
L'Occitane's Eau des Baux
Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille

However, Guerlain's Spiritueuse Double Vanille is my favourite take on vanilla.
There is no 'best'. It depends on how you like your vanilla. With resins and spices? Go with Shalimar. Or straight up? SDV or Eau Duelle. Creamy slightly toasted? Maybe try Un Bois Vanille. With a little skank perhaps? Try Jicky.
SDV and Tobacco Vanille are great.
i forgot all about musc!!! such a good one
post #39 of 81
For me, it's either Eau Duelle or Raw Vanilla.

Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille imo.

Double Vanille is for women though, right? Does it smell feminine?

I'm not sure if anyone else has smelled, but Vanillary by Lush was real good. That smelled very nice and smooth.

Anyone else tried it?

Vanillary is nice. Dark smokey vanilla. I don't find DV feminine, but I also don't find vanilla a note that only women should enjoy wearing.

Not feminine and very wearable, IMO. After the MdO, this would be next on my list of favorites...

R by Revillion is a really nice vanilla fragrance. Delicious vanilla drydown.

Does Le Male count as vanilla frag ?
SDV for me
Vanilia by l artisan, discontinued, its so delicate sandalwood-yilang ylang- vanilla frag, took me 6 months to start enjoying this fantastic take on vanilla,

Suppose shalimar vintage too, this new one is empty cold, hay like, nothing like creme brule

Vanilia by l'artisan parfumeur! no doubt about it!
Double Vanilla, Bulgari Black, Creed Royal Delight.
Straight up vanilla? Molinard Vanille, Inexpensive too.
Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain.
Easily Boucheron Jaipur and it's not close.
For pure vanilla? Spiriteuse Double Vanille. End of story.

If you want a different take, Eau Deuelle is interesting. But not pure vanilla.
even though it's not all about the vanilla & there are more pure "vanilla" frags out there, Tobacco Vanille is probably my favorite. I just love the "darker" vanilla, as I'm generally drawn to more "masculine" frags in the first place and TV finds a way to still remain very masculine while incorporating a good amount of vanilla IMO.
