If you could only pick 1 or 2 favorite scents based on the opening smell and the dry down?

Tough one because there is quite a few I could mention but I will go with Creeds Millesime Imperial. The opening is like smelling a lush watermelon smell on a morning seabreeze which also has a golden opulence vibe like they have captured sunshine in a bottle. As it drys down hours later the freshness goes but it's like smelling that watemelon smell but on a warm evening breeze as you are walking along a beach. This scent gives me that holiday in the Bahamas feeling and I never wear it in the Fall/Winter but always in the Spring and Summer.

I can see exactly where you're coming from on MI, Jack. I have only had the pleasure of owning a bottle since early spring this year and the experience has been similar for me too.

I find it hard to answer these types of threads - so many things out there that I like for different reasons and seasons (hey, that rhymes!). For example, today I have Chanel Sycomore on. I am not too fond of the opening but it's bearable.... The dry down though (mid and base) is just heavenly!! I owned a bottle this time last year, sold it, only to purchase another one again this summer.

I would agree with Jack though on MI, or perhaps Terre d' Hermes, my no. 1 compliment getter. Both very versatile and good all the way through - from beginning to end.
