Lutens palais royale vs the regular bottle

I was looking at the serge website http://http://us.sergelutens.com/pur...re-sultan.htmland the palais royale ambre sultan was 280 for 75mls. I bought the 50ml at lucky scent for 150. Is there a difference?

As far as I know, the two are exactly the same. Just the 75ml bottle is obviously larger and a different design. It's also quite collectable and there's the "ooohhh I bought it in Paris" factor...

Also, all the Lutens' fragrances are available in the 75ml "bell jars", but limited ones are released into the "export" 50ml bottle range...

If you look at the European site, the cost is 115 euros, which is equal to $149.00.

No idea why they have set a much higher US price at $280.00 for the Bell Jar, but that is the same price as Barney's is selling it for.

It's rudimentary.
The Serge Lutens corporation (he's not a non-profit org) is targeting customers who find $280 reasonable. Simple right.
