Pierre Balmain Carbone or Ambre Gris?

This is a question for all you open-minded guys out there. I need to drop something into my Fragrancex shopping cart to qualify for free shipping, and I was thinking of adding one of these two.
Which would you prefer? I am not afraid of more feminine scents and I like amber and spices. On the other hand, I also like incense.
Both bottles are beautiful, by the way!

I find both very boring. I am astonished that so many opt for Carbone. Both are catastrophic. Carbone is to my nose just Elemi essential oil watered down in alcohol.....nothing more.....

david with all due respect .. its much much more than just that .
I remember going back 2 or so years ago when threads on this were gaining momentum your double thumbs down comments about Carbone .
Well , I recently bought a bottle blind , because more reviews began arriving at FR & its a class frag & to my nose is Elemi , Fig , Wood chips , Incense & more !
In the few weeks i have owned it i can say its better in the colder weather with the wood & incense shining thru & in the warmer sunnier days the fruitier aspects .
Anyway perhaps you may try it again someday & i hope your comments yesterday are not from the sampling you did all those years ago .
