What scent do you prefer after the perfect shave?

Thread Starter
I just finished a great Sunday morning shave with my straight and Trumper's Rose soap. I threw on some Grafton by Truefitt & Hill, I feel like a million bucks! What's your favorite scent after a good clean shave?

My shave is a Braun shave followed by an ultra refreshing, cold water splash!

I rarely shave now (always trim. Gosh I love that 24/7 5'oclock shadow). When I do however, I just use whatever splash I have nearby. Typically it's the infamous Curve.

I have a vintage Troisieme homme after shave and it is just perfect, more jasminey than the edt. Regrettably, it doesn't last.

I love a weekend shave followed by Tabac Aftershave.

Eau de Rochas pour homme, aftershave balm and a spritz of EDT. Nothing quite like it after a nice clean shave.

Try to shave with the Acqua di Parma range, it is just wonderful. Top male grooming products.

Trumpers Extract of West Indian Limes

Whatever the chosen one is on that given morning - nothing special.

I always apply it after shaving in the morning, so whatever suits my fancy that day. It doesn't really have to do with an apres-shave mindset.
Previous threads have discussed in detail the barbershop experience/vibe. If you want to re-create that after your shave, then check them out. In that case, I'd recommend Rive Gauche PH and Profumum Antico Caruso.

Lately I've been doing a splash of orange blossom water. Smells nice and disappears in a couple of minutes so I can apply my sotd.

I rarely shave; when I do, I need something to cool me down.
i.e; Colonia Assoluta, Rive Gauche

Edit: Just noticed both the AdP line and RG were previously mentioned. Very nice!

Depends on the mood. Could be any one from these:
Brut (SotD actually)
Pinaud Clubman
Old Spice
English Leather Musk
Aqua Velva Musk
The Veg!!! (Pinaud Clubman Lilac Vegetal)
Jerri's Musk
Citrus Musk
Tabac (once in a rare while)
Denim
Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

I still haven't tried the 3 BIG T's! Need to try them asap!

I sometimes enjoy a shave and follow up with Habit Rouge after shave balm then of course Habit Rouge EDT.

I've been wetshaving for about three and a half years now, and I'm pleased to say that the vast majority of my shaves are as close to perfect as a man can get. With that in mind, along with the fact that I shave 5-6 days a week, I don't really have a scent for after a shave.

For the odd occasion where I shave on Sunday morning, where I can really take my time and enjoy a very long shave, I suppose the TOBS Shaving Shop treatment (cream, aftershave and cologne) is my favourite.

Like timdoeswell, I'm a wet shaver, and too, every shave is awesome. I have a few:

Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum
Penhaligons Racquets Formula
Creed Baie de Genivre
Creed Royal Scottish Lavender
Domenico Caraceni 1913

Another veteran wetshaver here too. It's one of the most soothing rituals in the world. For some reason, the perfect shave and shaving in general just screams fougere to me and I feel awesome after a perfect straight razor shave and topping it with:

Pens Sartorial
Pens English Fern
Azzaro PH
Rive Gauche

I typically use an unscented balm and then apply the SOTD. If I don't feel like rolling with any cologne for the day, I grab one of my favorite AS splashes:

Alt Innsbruck
L'Occitane Cade
Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere

Of the Trumper shaving soaps (since the OP happens to mention them), I love the Violet best. I have only shaved with a straight razor for several years, and these days usually turn to the Guerlain eaux immediately afterward - of which Eau du Coq is my preferred choice. A true fragrance comes a little later, unless I'm pressed for time.

i don't usually use aftershave, only moisturizer. however, i own ONE aftershave and that's cuiron. if i want to use an aftershave that's what i'd use (and combine it with the cuiron edc). which means, rarely.

Currently applying the Collection Barbiere after shave balm. But very soon after I follow up with some Eau Sauvage.

Prada (Amber) Man from a big splash bottle, mixed with some unscented moisturizing creme. Or, I can choose between some aftershave balms I have such as T. Mugler Ice*Men or Versace Dreamer (both, great quality).
