I have both, and having never smelled Gucci Guilty, the intense version is not very intense at all. I think it smells great but it just doesn't last and isn't very projecting for me. DHI, on the other hand, is very strong, projects, and also smells great. I get some similarities between Guilty Intense and Allure Homme Sport (a creamy, lemon-y vanilla vibe), but between those two I much prefer AHS because it doesn't suffer from the issues listed above. Out of the 25 or so bottles I have, and quite a few other well-known fragrances sampled, I haven't smelled anything that is even close to DHI. DHI is very sharp and in your face, but its also a very pleasing smell. This past weekend someone said it smells like really good baby powder, but I don't really get that from it. I get the make-up Iris smell a bit in the beginning, but beyond that I can't even think of any real-world smells to compare it to. Its unique and very pleasing (to me).
My only complaint against DHI - and it just may be my bottle - is the sprayer is very wonky. Its as if its spraying liquid instead of performing like an atomizer should. It still serves its purpose..some people care about the look of the bottle, but i'm more concerned about the sprayer itself being a piece of junk or not.
Out of the ones I own, my top five would probably be something like DHI, Aventus, YSL - La Nuit, Mont Blanc Individuel (highly recommend this for $35), and Musc Ravageur. I do own many of the fragrances that get mentioned here quite a bit, and Gucci Guilty Intense is probably in the bottom 5.
