Hello everyone!
I have been looking for a tuberose scent, but had difficult times with the larger than life personality of this voluptuous flower that tends to override any other supporting notes. I wanted to share my experience with three HdP tuberoses that in my opinion are wonderful examples of tuberose done right: tuberose is still a star of the show but shares the stage with other players; and with that, tells more complex and intriguing story. There is little love and recognition given to these three scents on Basenotes for some reason, but they are more than worthy of your attention. Let me just say that when the time came to choose one for my personal collection, I couldn't make my choice. And so I had to get all three - thankfully HdP has very handy half ounce bottles that allow for a better experience without major investment. The pass will include:
Tubereuse 1 - Capricieuse
Iris and leather are two very prominent supporting players that accompany the tuberose until the very end (at least on my skin). Fans of Iris/leather combos might appreciate this one, I most certainly did.
Tubereuse 2 - Virginale
Gorgeous white flower bouquet that is feminine, classy, and strangely fragile. For those who are looking, but not finding big white floral that does not have huge headache and trashy outfit attached to it.
Tubereuse 3 - Animale
Immortelle is most obvious friend of tuberose in this dark and rich composition. Fans of 1740 from the same house and Sables by Annick Goutal might appreciate well behaved tuberose twist.
I will have 2 ml dab mini bottles; and as all three fragrances are quite potent, I think we can easily have at least 7 or 8 testers.
I will be honest, I have an ulterior motive for this pass - I want to make sure that if enough people are exposed to these fragrances, and hopefully love them enough to purchase, HdP will continue to make them. I can't take another "discontinued" heartbreak, let alone three of them
.
If you are like me and having hard times with this flower or just curious, please join! It will be fun!
So far we have:
1. Genie Jeanie
2. PerfumedLady
3. cestrum nocturnum
4. jujy54
5. RHM
6. quixoticcynic
7. lucasai
8. Foustie

You're trying to reform this "not a fan of tuberose" person who used to love it. But I hope you'll get some lovers of the big, bold flower to give this generous offer a try.

Hopefully people understand what I meant.
