Your precious, unopened, Back Up collection!! - Page 2

A 3.4 oz bottle of GPHII. This stuff is a beast. Not projection and longevity beast. But a scent beast.
I have them but realize I'll never get to them soon enough so I try to sell off some here and there.

Would love a backup of Dior Homme Intense (I have only tried the current formula and love it) and Pradas Infusion d'homme.

Not sure if ill actually do it though. I have so much good stuff anyways. So absurdly many years of perfume. Yay

Don't have any back ups.
I have the following unopened and tucked away

2 Rive Gauche PH tin cans
1 Fahrenheit 3.4oz
1 Tuscany Per Uomo
Just vintage M7,Rive Gauche and Guccy Envy. I'll probably never even use up the open bottles so the backups are pointless....

I just added backup bottles of each of the following:

A*Men Pure Havane
A*Men Pure Malt
Essenza Di Zegna (3 x 20ml)
Azzaro Pour Homme

I don't have any backups. Even my favorite fragrances, I won't finish my full bottle in the next 8 years.

But I would buy a backup, if it's a scent I really like and it's being discontinued.
is rive gauche being discontinued or something. It's really cheap too, amazon has it for 30 bucks, i ordered it the other day.

2006 Dolce Gabanna pour homme 2.5oz.
Aqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza 1.7
Kenneth Cole Black I dont know why but I always tend to come back to this in the fall...for years now

Ok - here's the Habit Rouge hoard, minus a couple of testers. I finally got around to taking a proper inventory.

Great collection, rubegon! Practical, too - although for some reason Habit Rouge seems to weathering the IFRA storm a little better than so many others. Or are there just less people bitching about any changes that have occurred?

I'd be interested to know where the relatively new Extrait fits for you in terms of 'importance'? Would you back that up or are there earlier vintage iterations that you prefer to focus on getting while you can?
@rubegon WOW!!!!

I now have backups of:

Dior Homme Intense 100ml + 50ml vintage bottle
Pure Malt 100ml
Gucci Pour Homme II 100ml
2 used bottles of Gucci Envy (1 vintage, 1 reformulated)

I still prefer the vintage EdT, but I think you're right, MR. HR absolutely is holding up very well To be honest, if vintage were at Derby prices, I would just buy 1000ml bees of the current EdT and be happy with it. But, as long as vintage is available at reasonable prices, why not stock up? I can build up a lifetime supply. If I decide at some point that I like the modern better, I can just sell my vintage ones at a profit and buy new juice for less.

For me, the "wardrobe element" Habit Rouge is the EdT. The EdC is a layering tool and hair/fabric spray - less essential. The EdP and extrait are like niche riffs on the real (EdT) Habit Rouge. I love both - use them mostly in the evenings after I've worn the EdT.

I always want to have the extrait, but I think it's overpriced, so I don't use it much. Its not as important as the EdT, at least to me. Not having the EdT would would be annoying - like not being able to get a good cup of coffee in the morning. I wish the extrait were in the Parisiennes sizes/prices. I'd use it frequently if it were. I'd like a bee, but that's just such a huge purchase.

That was good luck on that Envy! Congrats. That has to be one of very few grandma gifts that is as on target.

Says it all, really - I understand

Sous le Vent has the same effect on me for some reason . . . it's . . . necessary.

Where are you able to get the vintage edt? Cheers

Mostly eBay, but also swaps and purchases from the BN market place and the occasional old bottle in a shop.

Update: I have a 1.7 OZ of TF Italian Cypress on the way, that will back up my 40% full current bottle. I also have a full 2.5 OZ Aventus that backs up my 40% full 1 OZ bottle.

Thank you - I have 2 soaps. They are stacked in their boxes at the back right, next to one of the big EdCs. I haven't opened one yet, mostly because I don't have a box to store it in - I will soon!

Oh yes, I see it now I've swapped my lookers for my readers.
Mine's still boxed, I just have a good sniff now and then.

3.4 oz Pure Havane
3.4 oz LIDGE
100ml bottle of Pure distance M
30ml bottle of Black Afgano
If I get a good deal, I'm inclined buy my discontinued favourites such as Helmut Lang EdC, Eau d'Hermes vintage and Yohji Homme.

I'm amazed that the current Mouchoir de Monsieur is still so great, I'm kind of worried it wont be for long, so I should probably think about buying some of those too.

2 x 50ml M7 vintage
3 x 100ml Gucci Pour Homme I
1 x 30ml Cool Water vintage

Nothing too fancy, just stuff that was hard to get already at the end of 2012.

I was amazed to find one bottle of GpH I at Sephora last month, sitting all alone on the Gucci shelf. Shrink wrapped and all, just $78. SCORE!
