Is New Haarlem worth $92?

EDIT: I bought it this morning. It was actually $91 with free shipping from FragranceNet's Amazon store.

Hey everyone, so I was graciously given a sample of New Haarlem by a friend of mine on site, and after wearing it today it's definitely something I could see having in my collection. Naturally I'd like to wear it a little more, but I came across a pretty good deal where I can get 50 mL's for $92 plus a few dollars shipping from a reputable place.

My main thing is that I hear stuff like Rochas man and MJ Legend are similar, but would it be worth getting this stuff now? I have the money available, so would you say that it is worth getting the NH at this price and not something else? I've never smelled the other stuff either.

Thanks.

Seriously? That's a very reasonable price for an amazing juice.

IMO No.

If you enjoy the fragrance significantly more than Rochas Man, then yes.

I've never smelled Rochas, but I'm not really a fan of lavender in fragrances, which I hear it has.

Agree.

Only you can decide if you like it enough to purchase. If so, then yes, the price is right.

IMO yes. I own both RM & NH & find them different enough to enjoy & have both. RM is definitely more versatile & casual, but NH is very high quality juice IMO & can easily find its place in a collection.

IMO, no i can get Rochas Man and get the same result, thats my 2€

It's time to try out the other stuff as it may save you cash. I prefer Rochas Man over NH which I find too sickly sweet like someone pouring maple syrup on your skin and then sprinkling coffee on top.

It is certainly worth it IMO. I am not sure I would buy it from a place selling it that low however -- it would make me worry about the bottle itself. But if you are sure it was stored properly, and that it was authentic then it would be a great deal.

I own NH myself -- not because I love it (I think it is nice), but because my wife LOVES it. One of her 5 favs for sure. It is very long-lasting and a well made fragrance.

That's what I hear as well (it's a compliment getter and women love it). It turns out my mom really loves it, and wants my step-dad (who cannot smell much of anything) to wear it for her. So, it seems like I'll end up getting it for myself and for her to spray on him on occasion. I guess that gives it more value, right?

By the way, the place is beautyencounter, which, from the reviews online and on here say is a very reputable place to get stuff from, so I am not really worried about their storage.

Easily worth it.

Deal!!!
Yes. A bargain.
Definitely worth it...I bought it for more than that and I felt that price was worth it. I personally smell a huge difference between Rochas Man and New Haarlem...I never get why people are always saying they are basically the same. I don't like Rochas Man and I love New Haarlem so thus, to me at least, there must be a huge difference. New Haarlem is far better quality and is definitely worth $92. If you love it, go for it...by the way, my wife absolutely loves it too.

Only you can say.

At that price, it's a bargain, and in my opinion it's way worth it. I don't wear New Haarlem much, but when I do, I love it.

For sure at that price.

Whats up with all the cheap Bonds everywhere? Did they dump a huge amount on the grey market recently?
My paypal is burning a hole in my pocket.....

Thats a very good price

It's worth it, it's probably the best gourmand
post #21 of 36
Not bad, not bad at all.
keep in mind that 50ml of New Haarlem will last you longer than 125ml of the average fragrance.

Because one spray of New Haarlem is all you need for the day. Unlike most fragrances where you need 3+ spray.

Easy answer: Go for it!

For coffee I like Play Intense and for a sweeter/greener version I prefer Rochas Man. Personally I'd at least sample these first, but if you enjoy wearing NH then go for it.

im in the minority but i thought this stuff was terrible. the longevity is beast so it made the experience even worse for me. smells like a syrupy sweet waffle grafted onto a generic cologne base. even the bonbon atomizer itself was putting off the stink so i had to take it outside and toss it down into the gutter.

comes out to $78.20 before 1% cash back on BE after my 15% birthday coupon. Might pull trigger soon..

Cool? That doesn't really help me.

To everyone else: thanks for your input. I'll think it over and potentially get it tomorrow.

I think it's worth it. Great fragrance.
