A large healthy decant of

Vanille 44 by Le Labo

I smelled when it came out in 2007 and loved it, and it's been on my mind for years. One of the online decanting sites had it deeply discounted today, so I said WTH. It will smell fantastic when temps cool down in Miami (today it was back to the 80's again!).

I have Penhaligon's Sartorial on the way, and vintage Michael Kors as well.

EDT concentration with excellent longevity and average sillage. I get bergamot and ginger top notes, middle has a floral accord which is apparently based on some plant called Andrea that grows in the Andes (resembles violet somewhat), sandalwood and guaiac (I think), base of vanilla and possibly some amber. It's a unique scent to my experience and can be worn in a lot of different situations. It smells classy and would work well in more formal settings. I think it's a nice choice for office wear also. It's well worth sampling.

It took a few weeks, but an excellent SA at Neiman Marcus tracked down not one, but two bottles of Creed Royal English Leather for me! I had almost given up hope to find one. Quite pleased. My favorite leather fragrance of all.

Just purchased a 10mL decant of...:

Amouage Jubilation XXV

I think I can safely place this in my "owned" section of my wardrobe, since I don't plan on ever being without it. It's just so...opulent and utterly beautiful.

One of the most underrated fragrance houses IMO. These guys make top notch stuff!

So I got:

100ml

and

50ml

After sampling probably over 10 scents on the day. The SA was very helpful though and gave me tons of samples as well!

Today I was given a box of fragrances: Diesel Zero Plus, Diesel Plus Plus, Nautica Voyage, Tommy Bahama St. Sail St. Barts, Paris Hilton For Men, Dior Homme Sport. So far I can say that the DHS is fantastic. WoW, do I love the Dior men's line. Much more than the Chanel men's line. St. Sail St. Barts is also a very pleasant smelling summer scent. I was very surprised to find that I enjoy Diesel's Zero Plus. No bad at all. I get a leather vibe from it, synthetic, but decent. Paris Hilton for Men=Blaaaaaaaaaaah.

I thought Eight & Bob was OK. My co-workers made negative comments the day I sampled it. That doesn't happen very often. Most the stuff I wear garners positive comments. Way over priced by the way.

It has been weeks since I bought anything, today I order decants:
- 20ml of Le Labo Rose 31
- 10 ml of Rochas Man

Grey Flannel. Snagged this one for 12.99 at TJ Maxx last night. Highly recommend this as a cheap quality frag. Don't let the "haters" in the reviews of this juice deter you.
