Testing Un Bois Vanille again from a sample, a bit of a nice vanilla but has a musk note I don't care for. Other than that, pretty alright, imo. Pretty sweet scent. I guess someone compared it to Pink Sugar? I guess I could see a similarity but this more well done than PS. PS has that yucky plastic note. Ugh. I thought I got cedar in Un Bois but maybe I am wrong about that. Almost too cloyingly sweet though. The sweet kinda doesn't rub me the right way. Would like the musk to be toned down and the sweet. This would be one for winter. I probably wouldn't get a fb. Lutens has yet to win me over with anything except Feminite du Bois.

Thanks easyfish!
It's a L'Heure Bleue kind of morning (vintage EdP)! I'm making myself comfortable now for a breakfast next to the 'kachelofen' (glazed tiles oven) with a bucket of espresso and a fruit platter. Have a good Sunday all!

I am house twins with easyfish.

I am wearing Amouage - Reflection Man.

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday

Morning Everyone,

Guerlain Liù for me today. Rainy and cold outside, so will be an indoor kind of Sunday. Not altogether a bad thing.

Stay well and enjoy the rest of the weekend, folks.

Good morning!
After having given some care to my Dyptique candle Myrrh I felt like something similar for me, too... Avignon is the best approximation so far!

Sunday with By Kilian Rose Oud. Very enjoyable stuff.

Testing day. No loves, no likes including Mona di Orio Rose Etoile de Hollande. It is still -- very much in her style -- out of this world, surrealist, polyphonic fragrance but not for me. Like a very expensive made to order jacket, excellent fabric and very straight stitching but made for someone else.

1876 Mata Hari perhaps?

L'Artisan Dzongkha.

Good morning good smelling people!

I am wearing Barbara Bui EDP today. Second tiny bottle of this, picked up for $10. It is very pretty, fizzy smelling at the beginning then pillowy soft. Usually a sleep smell for me, very comfortable smelling. I want to say vanilla-incense-tea but it's not that literal.

Good morning!

Parfumerie Generale Cuir d'Iris for me today.

Robin, you smell fantastic, I love Barbara Bui.

Have a nice relaxing Sunday!

Larimar. I have just caught up with yesterdays thread and I see your sad news. I am so sorry. Look after yourself.

I have gone all patchy. Most of the week was Etro Patchouli, an aromatic patchouli, the aromatic effect caused partly by a geranium note I think, but it also becomes quite leathery with a hint of powdery floral, Iris I think. It really is lovely and no less than three different folk offered a compliment. Today, one of my scent sisters, it is labelled Za Baba Patchouli. Cant find out anything about it. It is sweeter and woodier than the Etro.

Hello all. I am wearing a mystery sample which the writing is sort of missing!!!!! Looks like Posey and three words, but could be Dosey!!!!! LOL The person who gave it to me has no idea either.

Donna, is there any chance that the three words could be Histoires de Parfums and the fragrance is Rosam; Rose, Oud, and a really lovely Safffron?!

Gardenia Passion by Annick Goutal this morning. Actually, I can't wear this type of fragrance anymore. It doesn't agree with me. After all these years my tolerance for certain types of fragrance has changed. I wear Gardenia Passion out of nostalgia sometimes.

I'm going to switch over to some vintage VC&A First edp.

Yay, Foustie, you solved the mystery! Rosam sounds beautiful, I'll have to check that one out.

Another nice and warm thread we are having today. Thank you this, it gladdens my heart.

Placed an order with parfum1 -- on top of their great prices, I have a code for 15 per cent discount, and it will be shipped free of charge because it is over $75. They promise to donate 10 per cent of my payment to Hurricane Sandy recovery fund. They will be donating until November 9, 2012. Feels triple good to be getting new fragrances.

Gres Cabaret this PM. Drizzling here, might be snowing later.

I'm a day late for SnS ... I'm wearing FM Noir Espices today. I had to go to a funeral yesterday and didn't want to wear a spicy fragrance to that. It didn't seem very appropriate ...

OMG, Mike! I'm sorry to hear of your hospitalization! I thought you had been feeling a bit better. I hope you are much better now!

Larimar, I'm so sorry for your loss.

More Drole de Rose, still was hoping for a compliment lol..it needs to project more I guess. I put on several sprays! Oh well.
