i hear black afghano is a powerhouse.

new haarlem is probably one of the strongest ive tried.
Vintage Bijan for Men
One Man Show Gold Highly Concentrated
Extra-strength Montale Black Musk.

Regular-strength Cuir d'Arabie is pretty close to it.
Complex by Boadicea The Victorious
Black Afgano is not the powerhouse that most people believe it to be. I owned a bottle. It is a sweet scent. Don't get be wrong, it is a wonderful fragrance, but not the powerhouse that most people believe it to be.
I second Complex by Boadicea. Poisonous leather with lethal sillage. Hard to think about anything approaching the volume. For wearable stuff, I'd say the Montale.

Lauder for Men is awesome!
I immediately though of Kouros and Polo Green.
Sung homme whoops noses ass.
Attar by Montale is a good candidate IMO.
Of all I have smelt - Gao.
Bogart Furyo
A list dominated by 80's fragrances. Vintage Le Male, Sung Homme, Bogart line, and Creed Aventus are all 1 to 2 sprays max for me.
Montale Black Aoud
I would say these:

Bond No. 9 NY Oud
Kouros
Opium
Le Male
Costume National Homme
Bond No. 9 H.O.T. Always
The absolute strongest in my collection by far is Lapidus Pour Homme. It is absolutely nuclear and not something to be handled carelessly. I have Joop!, Le Male, Aventus X02, Original Santal, 24 the Fragrance Gold, New Haarlem, Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather, Quorum, and a bunch of other tough guys. They all bow down before Lapidus.

IMO, Aramis.

I concurr 100% and I would add One Man Show and Sung Homme.
The top three for me have been Creed Aventus, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille & New Haarlem
post #21 of 74
Without a doubt in my mind, KOUROS and I personally love this stuff even with one short burst of it

Sables.

Black Afgano or Sombre Negra
One spray of Amouage Gold Men to the body is definitely adequate.
YSL PH Haute Concentration!
Among others: G Man by Gainsboro, Esencia Loewe and Trussardi Uomo
post #28 of 74
Fierce by A&F
Kourus

This tops all suggestions so far, and should come with a haz-mat warning and used with a licence.

The Lapidus is strong, no doubt, but OMS Gold is the only frag i know that i am very careful applying, and i am a liberal sprayer by default.

Montale black Aoud or Kouros

The first fragrance that popped into my head when I read the name of the post. One not yet mentioned but among my current favorites is Van Cleef and Arples pour Homme. I have a splash bottle of the vintage juice, use literally a couple dabs on either side of the neck and one on the right wrist and have people commenting on it for hours.

I seriously doubt that in any side by side comparison lasting either a day or two weeks, that Joop Homme would not wipe the floor against any competitor in the strength department.

It doesn't matter whether I am in Melbourne or in Madrid, it is the only scent that on a windless day leaves strong vapour trails in buildings and out in the open, where one wonders where the wearer is, as there is no one in sight.

Renato

Same here, i wear 6+ sprays of anything, Kouros (6), Joop (9), Fleur du Male (9), Le Male (12) etc.
When I will use One Man Show Gold im afraid after the second spray, and use 3 sprays only. Its another world of strong fragrances.

Aramis!
Mugler Pure Havane on me.
Giorgio For Men has nuclear strength where I had to shower after two sprays as it was just too much, even one spray was too much. Never met a frag more potent than this one.
Original Drakkar Noir.
from my experience:

Black Afgano
Amber Absolute
Dior Leather Oud

Surprised no one mentiond MFK Absolue Pour le Soir.
Guerlain Heritage edp (vintage!) lasts 24+ on me easily and two weeks on clothes at least!
That stuff is amazing! It does not have the sillage/projection of eg. A-Men or Joop! but it just stays and stays!
From what I know:
Joop! Homme
A*Men
Ted Lapidus PH

My friend perfaddict speaks the truth! This is one brutal fragrance!! One spray should be MORE than enough for anyone!

Salvadore Dali PH

+1 on Bijan

I forgot to mention 1 Million. Surprised no one else has mentioned that one yet. That stuff has a half-life of 100 years.
Midnight in Paris EdP is very very potent on me!!!!!!
A*men

1 Million

Sables

Black Afgano

I own Joop! Homme, New Haarlem, and 1 Million and 1 Million is easily my most potent fragrance.
From what I've tried:

The Third Man / Number 3 / Le 3' Homme by Caron - one spray to the forearm, the scent fills the entire room.

A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler - no explanation needed

Animale Animale for Men by Animale Parfums - deceptively strong. Can induce headache if careless with the application.

Jazz (original/vintage) by Yves Saint Laurent - can smell it before the wearer arrives the destination.

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford
Xeryus Rouge... I like strong fragrances but that stuff blows me away. Nuclear.
Or Black
A*Men although it is thee most disgusting thing ever made

Joop! Pour Homme - One spray of this and my co-worker sitting next to me was sniffing all day

Somehow I don't find Le Male and Kouros to be that strong... Or maybe it's because I don't really like them. They smell too cheap.

1 Million - I wish I didn't stay in this city where everyone knows/owns it and L'Eau D'Issey

This one. I find this stuff really offensive, even a quarter of a spray is too much.

A close runner up is Basile Uomo.
...........oh and I nearly forgot Gucci Pour Homme 1, (the one in the heavy rectangular flacon).
Dark Aoud by Montale would fit the bill.
Of those i own: vintage Kouros, Black Aoud shared first place. Bijan Men second place.
YSL Opium pour Homme Eau de Parfum : one spray is almost too much ...
I agree with my fellow-basenoters....In order due it's strength. 1. Lapidus Pour homme: None and I mean none and compare to the projection and longevity on this walking dynamite. I sprayed this on this morning at 7:30am and now it's 4:30pm and still going strong. I actually got a compliment this morning weaing it btw. Giorgio by beverly hills: Another great long lasting monster projecting BEAST.....This one actually last as long as Lapidus. One man show Gold edition: Very similiar to Lapidus but not as strong in the longevity. Joop Homme: The new formula is good but I don't think it holds a candle to it's predecessor's. Red by Giorgio: This is another powerhouse that has been dubbed down due to reformulation but still is good and has great projection and longevity.
