Creamy hot chocolate

Everyday I'm reading someone reviewing a fragrance and saying how "dry" and "powdery" the chocolate note in that fragrance is. Here's a few: "Guerlain L'Instant Pour Homme Extreme" and "Bond No9 I Love NY For All"

Now, is that what I want? No. I'm looking for a chocolate scent but not a dry one, nor do I want a powdery one. I want a creamy, warm hot chocolate smell that is well combined with another good note that blends well with chocolate. For instants, orange.

Thanks in advance.

Serendipity 3 Serendipitous is just like hot cocoa with a little orange rind.

Serge Lutens Borneo, hot chocolate mix and patchouli... very dry/dusty and wonderful.

Chocolovers by Aquolina

Unfortunately discontinued but still widely available on Ebay for a reasonable price (this stuff used to be super cheap when it was in production though).

Oops, I thought you were looking for dry... my mistake

Despite most people describing LIDGE as having dry powdery cocoa, I find it quite sweet and creamy, probably due to the vanilla, which disappointed me a bit at first (vanilla? in a Guerlain? I know! Who'd have thought...). I find the dryness comes more from the patchouli and cedar, but I think my evaluations of sweet and dry differ from the average in that I'm quite sensitive to sweetness, and anything that smells sweet on paper will be even sweeter when I spray it on my skin.

i think i know what you are looking for - AOMASSAI by parfumerie generale. top quality hot chocolate-baked caramel nuts... a typical gourmand (and the best typical gourmand i know) great smell but i personally don't like to smell like that... when i try it out of the sample i always crave some good coffee or hot chocolate. it is just too gourmand for me.
borneo 1834 by lutens is dark (hard) chocolate - patchouli. less gourmandic, more perfume-artistic, and my preference between the two.

This.

Exactly as you described in your first post: Orange and Chocolate.

I want to try every scent on here...please send samples this way! J/k. I think I tried Chocolat by Profumo. I didn't get much chocolate from it..at least the chocolate I was looking for anyway. Wasn't very gourmand at all.

There is a niche brand, Noblie 1942, and the line is Le Petit Chocolatier. Try the 1, Confiture. Chocolate+orange. Samples can be found on Luckyscent(not affiliated). I think all three chocolate samples from the LPC line come together when you choose the sample option. All worth trying.

I would describe it as a smooth, nutty hot chocolate

This is as good as it gets when it comes to chocolate fragrances, IMHO.

Extremely chocolate. Like a candy bar.
