Help me out! Blind buy Oud Wood for $30 (1oz)?

Title pretty much says it all. I can get Oud Wood for $30 for 1 oz. I have never smelled it, nor have I really smelled oud in a fragrance before. I love some of the other line (including Tobacco Vanille, which is one of my favorites).

If it helps, take a look at my wardrobe and samples and see what you think. It seems like such a steal to me.

EDIT: Also, would this layer well with TV?

Very warm, woody and dry, with a touch of sweetness as it develops. As I'm a sucker for dry woody scents, personally, I'd jump at it.
Not really sure that the profile fits with your tastes when I looked at your wardrobe and samples. Seems like a good price, so maybe you could sell it on for little or no loss if you don't like it?

i sampled TV, tuscan leather, and oud wood today, and oud wood was by far my favorite. very pleasant wood notes, great for fall/winter. longevity for me was 8+ hrs.

This is a great price - I'm not going to ask how you got that or if you're sure it's real. For this price, you should go for it.

Oud is a very complex smell, and different ouds highlight different components. Oud Wood touches all bases and so it's a good intro oud. It's a combo of dark wood, candied fruit, band aid, and gasoline, all present and in the correct proportion.

The oud smell is quite distant from mainstream western tastes, so the first smell will come a little bit as a shock. But then it can become addictive. Or not, depending on taste. I'd say that for these prices you should go for it. If you don't like it, at least you know what the fuss is about.

Thanks, I think I'll take a chance on it. I've been spending a lot on samples lately, so I am hesitant. And by the way, I'm getting it from a fragrance group on Facebook, and the person selling is an admin of the group, so he's legit.

I myself am not a big fan and judging by your wardrobe I would say it was a risk. Even though it is a risk it is definitely a risk worth taking if it is real. That is a reaaalllyyy good price. Too good. If it is real and you don't like it you would easily be able to sell it for three times the price.

For $30 does it even matter. Buy it!!! Its a quality frag if you don't like resell for a profit. Too easy...

Looks like you've already decided, but I just want to add my voice to the chorus of those saying yes, this is a very good blind buy. That's a great price.

For that price there's really no reason not to buy it. Go for it!

I personally don't care for it, although it's not a bas fragrance. It seems to be a bit chemical smelling for such an expensive oud based fragrance. Also, I would not layer this with TV.

I say definitely worth the tiny risk -- you could always swap it (to me, e.g.) later for something else.

Oud Wood is definitely the best TF juice I've come across. Similar to Bond HSLE but more woody, less green.
