on masculinity and perfect male perfume

Natural ingredients - texture, synthetics - structure.
Masculinity is everything about the structure, form, solidity and tightness.
The perfect male perfume should be made of synthetic ingredients.
Prominent, abstract and penetrating.
Water is essential. It's the synonym of life and vitality.
Fresh and marine, though not literally.

Not sweet and flowery.

Not too daring and avant-garde, because a perfume should please the others.

Allure homme Sport
Higher Dior

Uh... What?

This is apt to get mired down in subjectivity.

I'm not going to assume anything here and just ask you.
Did you mean:

advance guard

2.

a temporary military detachment sent ahead of a force to prepare for a landing or other operation, esp by making reconnaissance

Or did you mean

a·vant-garde

noun
1.
the advance group in any field, especially in the visual, literary, or musical arts, whose works are characterized chiefly by unorthodox and experimental methods.

Higher Dior and Allure Homme Sport are the scents of the past decade, however they reflect masculinity better than masculine scents of nowadays (YSL L'Homme, PR One Million, Costume Nationale Homme, Guerlain Arsene Lupin Voyou, FK Amyris pour homme). Latter perfumes share an accord of sweetness which should be excluded in a perfect masculine scent.

Cool Water is too avant-garde. Even now.

Allure Homme Sport
Higher Dior
Bvlgari Aqua pour homme
Aqua Fahrenheit

I'd say there are quite a few women who would agree with your post and approve of the scents you've mentioned.

I've never sampled any of the scents you mentioned, but I appreciate your thoughts.

Actually, 'Advance Guard' is part of the Right Guard Deodorant and Protection range and smells nicer than Allure Homme Sport and Higher Dior. Costs £1.75 pence for 500 ml.
