Hey guys, I'm just getting a little into fragrances and I saw that some guys here have HUGE collections. I was wondering about how much you guys spent on your collections?

My collection is mostly designer fragrances, and it's probably close to $2,000 USD, not counting the frags I sent to my father.

Don't know for sure but definitely over $100,000 calculating 1,351 full large bottles at an average of about $100 per bottle many less, many more. Hundreds and hundreds of niche and designer fragrances. Wish I would have kept records of what I spent.

Wow! You know it's serious when you have to put your fragrance collection as part of your will.

Wow hednic. That is big time my friend. Just out of curiosity, can your fragrances be included in your insurance coverage? That is quite an investment. You are the Fragrance King!

$1000

Er... $1750-ish? My collection's value basically doubled last month when I bought three 4.0 Creed bottles.

Really hard to say....anything sold second-hand is only worth what someone will actually pay for it....and if you can actually find someone to buy it from you in the first place.

I would say about $2200 give or take a hundred or two.

I am not sure, but I think my collection worth around 6000 - 8000 USD.

I have a lot of niche in full bottles & decants --around 80 pieces in my collection.

Well in January of this year, I had to write out a list of every fragrance I owned. Someone went away and added it all up and it came back at £19,835(not sure about the last two numbers it was something like that £19.800). Since then I have bought bits and gotten into Parfumerie Generale and JHAG so well into the £20,000 by now.

May I add, some I got much cheaper than retail on ebay and vintage stuff which actually should have been much more expensive but no one bid but me.

Your collection is beautiful Donna.

Hednic. Yours is at the stage of being an important private collection! A museum or art gallery quality collection!

My collection is definitely worth more than I can afford.

I can't tell you what my current collection is worth per say, but I can tell you that my net spending is around US$1200 over 3 years. Less than $35/month.

Right now sitting around $10,500...but it could have been a lot more if I paid full price for everything. Still...thanks a lot for making me add that up, now I'm depressed.

I would say something between $15,000 and $20,000 but I think Ive spent no more than 11,000 (I got almost all of them not paying full retail price, always getting with discounts, swaps, useds, splits, etc).

I really want to see what is in your collection. When are you going to post it? I'll pay for the stenographer...

Even just your top 100!
