Tom Ford for Men vs Extreme (longevity)

I have sampled both...I really enjoy both. At the moment, I like TFFM better than its Extreme version, but I could see myself leaning more towards Extreme down the line.

What struck me as odd was how it performed. On me, TFFM projects well for 8-10 hours. Extreme weakens after three. I'll still catch a whiff of it after 8-10 hours, but not like I do TFFM. Anyone else experience this with these two?

Is this common for the extreme (or intense) version of a frag to be weaker than its original?

I own and LOVE both. Actually I seem to get about the same from each (around 6-8 hours). But I agree - it does seem odd that the Extreme does not outlast the the standard one... I guess Extreme was referring to the scent itself, not it's performance.

I have the extreme and it goes on quiet for the first hour after application then explodes and starts projecting strongly. I find I get 6 to seven hours out of it though it's basenotes last much longer especially on my shirt.

I have found this personally to be rarely the case, but it does happen.
