Fellow old farts: what did you wear in the 80s?

My transition was thus:
Jordache--->Pierre cardin--->Halston Z14--->Drakkar--->Polo Green--->Calvin

I know there was another thread about favorite 80s colognes, but so many were made earlier that were worn prevlently in the 80s.
Can't even remember but whatever the prevailing scents were at the time, that's most likely what I was wearing.
Halston Z-14
Paco Rabanne
Polo Green

Lots of memories there!

Although I had a small wardrobe that included other things, Paco Rabanne was my signature fragrance. About 2 years ago I located a few time capsule boxed spray bottles from mid-80's. It was fantastic to get reaquainted with an old friend. Unlike most of the crap available today, a few sprays last an entire day.

Probably more. Can't remember right now.

There was a cheapish "herbal" Frag in a tall ridged bottle - a little like the old Eau Sauvage bottle. It smelled great, can't remember it's name though.

And late 80s/early 90s

I had also adorned Paco Rabanne.

I think the prevailing frag in the night clubs had to be Drakkar. It must have been cheaper than Polo, because the ladies would go nuts if someone wore Polo like you were driving a Lamborghini.

I loved that old xeryus. I remember clearly when they changed it after just a couple of years. Lost loads of balls - just shows that reformulations are not exclusively a modern problem.

I've got some original Denim.... and it's very nice. Remember that voice?

I've heard it's been poorly reformulated. Sad. It was my first signature scent.

They had Axe in the 80s?

I remember I had Axe Atlantis which wasn't that bad tbh, but I really don't recall the exact year anymore...............I thought end of the 80's..........

Edit: Just looked it up and Axe started in 1983 In France.

Basenotes does not mention a year for Axe Atlantis. Anyway I owned it and thought it was in the 80's but who cares.............

Hey! I resemble--I mean I resent that characterization!

Almost all the powerhouses, and I rejoiced in my amazingly sophisticated taste by wearing out of fashion 'vintage' brews, like Aramis or Devin

Cheers,

Mario

Tabac original and Cacharel pour homme. I still like Tabac but the current Cacharel is as weak as piss, unfortunately.

I wore Quorum, exclusively, liberally. I rode a bus to work in the morning. There always seemed to be a lot of coughing.

I'm going to have to stop... I was obviously an addict then....

My father dealt in cosmetics at that time all the way through my teenage years, so our garage was full of perfumes and things. My sister and I were allowed to keep the sample sprays when they were too low to use any more, and we were allowed to use them to test. I seem to remember belonging to an Yves Rocher mail order club of some sort.

At about the end of the communist era in my country, there were some 'dollar-shops' where there were very limited number of western scents. The first one I bought was Alain Delon Iquitos, a really gorgeous scent. And then my currency-limit was exhausted for a looong time

Still love them all, but wish I had endless bottles of the formulations from that time, rather than the inferior (but still decent by today's standards) versions that subsequently followed.
