Good Evening,

So good to have you back in the fold, Jon. Hope you're enjoying some of that vino !
LadyM - do let us know how you got on. I've been meaning to attend one of these events for the longest time.

Did a bit of sniffing earlier in town, including the 4 new Grossmith perfumes. My arms are still covered in heaven knows how many different scents. Anyway, MFK absolue pour le soir tonight.

Best to all.
(((((rtamara))))), I am so very, very sorry. My condolences to you and yours. I'll keep you in my thoughts. The photo of the two of you is just precious.

((inees)) -- it's good to have you back. Good luck with your move. Shaking things up may be just what the doctor ordered. If nothing else, you're in the best comfort scent ever and smell wonderful.

((Jon)), it's so good to have you back.

I started off the day in SL Boxeuses, but I'm craving patchouli today, and so switched to PG Intrigant Patchouli. So soft and comfortable.

I hope everyone has a good day -- hugs to all who need or want them.

It was a good session, but not as great as the 30s. I think I didn't enjoy it as much because the 80s is just too recent and I don't have a lot of nostalgic feelings for it. The 30s was much more interesting because I got to see and hear references to the culture and time that I was not a part of. We sniffed 9 different perfumes; Poison, Green Irish Tweed, Kouros, Eau d'Hadrien, Iris Bleu Gris, Nocturnes, White Musk, Omber Rose and Vanderbilt. I was suprised Odette didn't cover Giorgio and quite a few people were disappointed about that. She did say that she will hold review sessions of next year at Les Senteurs, so perhaps you could attend those.

Rtamara, so sorry to hear of your loss.

Jon, it's good to have you back

JR, see what all this raising last night did? Will we have to raise something tonight too?
I've been scentless all day (laundry, cleaning, weed-and-feeding the grass in my yard, etc), now I'm headed to a mid-day massage, wearing:

Santal 33 by Le Labo

I love sandalwood fragrances for massages, they seem to help me clear my mind.

Rtamara41, you know that I am thinking of you constantly...and if I were standing next to you I'd be giving you a BIG BEAR HUG.

Would you mind sharing how the "NOT a Perfume" smells like? I am quite curious .

In the honor of the Tuberose pass and latest PerfumedLady's perfume adventure, I am wearing Tubereuse 1 - Capricieuse. If anyone is interested we still have couple of spots left in the pass. Please join!

Jon Rodgers - I know I am not worthy of your attention, but I rejoice in seeing you back in good health. I, however, have a bone to pick with you: your beautiful posts are always so gratifying to look at, but your lavender fields video you posted a while back stuck in my subconscious and prompted me to break my no-perfume-until-Christmas rule, with the acquisition of Gris Clair. Thanks!!!

Rtamara - my sincere condolences.

Worthy you most certainly are

Thanks for the kind words and many congratulations on a great acquisition - Gris Clair is a delight.

Don't give her any sympathy Jon- she just did the same to me! Whitefluffy, you are very naughty! But you smell beautiful.

Been sampling Caron's Accord 119 this afternoon, thank you G.! Think I'm starting to get the hang of the Caron vibe. Now, need to change into something fun for the little bender I'm about to have! Have a great night, all!

OK I'm not very good at describing scents but I'll give it my best. On me, it smells like a white musk with a little vanilla and some floral notes. It is very linear but not in a boring way. It's very subtle but not transparent. I think it's very unisex but my boyfriend thinks it leans feminine. It's a very comforting scent to me. It has a fluffy sweater vibe to it!

SotE is Lalique edt, with notes of gardenia, blackcurrant, mandarin,
orange blossom, ylang ylang, magnolia, rose, peony, sandalwood,
cedar, oakmoss, vanilla, musk and amber. I have a real thing for
Lalique perfumes and their bottles. This one is very pretty and
feminine and definitely has gardenia, which I love.

Have a great evening, everyone!

Ooooh, I love the smell of a fluffy sweater (as long it doesn't smell like a wet dog, which most wool ones do )! It does sound nice . There are two perfumes that evoke similar associations for me: original Ghost by Ghost and Teint de Niege by Lorenzo Villoresi. Both feature rose and vanilla, and both smell powdery, white, and fluffy. It's so wonderful to find comforting scents, isn't it?

Jon Rodgers - thank you for your kind words, Gris Clair truly is delightful! I used to enjoy Reverie au Jardin for a lavender mood, but in the end it became a bit to whimsical and vanilla heavy. Gris Clair strikes a perfect balance between comforting, wistful, and sensual. Thank you for enabling!

PerfumedLady - it warms my heart to know that we will share yet another gem. When I tested it for the first time, I immediately thought of you .

First of all, (((((rtamara41))))) my sincere condolences on your loss.

We spent part of the day at Soulard Market getting all sorts of goodies.
http://soulardmarket.com
Then a trip for a late lunch to the Central West End http://www.thecwe.com and a really wonderful place called, Dressel's Public House. Fantastic food! http://dresselspublichouse.com

I wore Hermes Eau Claire des Merveilles earlier today and put some Annick Goutal Eau Charlotte on tonight.

BUT.........

All I can smell are my daughters' stinky feet.

Phew!

^^ I enjoy both Eau Claire des Merveilles and Dressel's!
