What Will Your Thanksgiving Fragrance Be?

I can almost smell the savory turkey and stuffing roasting in the oven, the tart cranberry-orange peel relish, and the spiced apple-mince, and pumpkin pies....

What heavenly fragrance will you wear for this traditional holiday meal? Even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, which of your favorite scents would you choose to complement such a grand meal?

First to mind for me....

Chanel - Bois des Iles - to smell as savory sweet as the food.
Hermes - Caleche Eau Delicate - as a complementary dry white wine of fragrance.
L'Artisan Perfumeur - Timbuktu - for the spices and incense.
Dior - Hypnotic Poison - just because it's so beautiful.

EDIT: I'm auditioning some additional candidates in the "refreshing, white wine" category to counterbalance the richness of the meal....

Guerlain - Aqua Allegoria Anisia Bella
Hermes - Eau de Pamplemousse Rose
Chanel - Bel Respiro

Cincy - Great choices...I'd forgotten about Black Cashmere.....I may need to add that to my list of candidates.

My favorite for the holiday is Bois des Iles. It always smells good and doesn't overhelm the people I spend the day with, like some of that genre tend to do.

Will be celebrating at the restaurant trying to feed some 300 people (we hope), by choice. Something comfortable and beautiful, Coriandre or Bottega Veneta or Rouge or my new Fetiche or Nuit au Desert. Gonna be a warm snowless Thanksgiving this year, seems like.

For me, it's always a difficult balance--how to enjoy a holiday or special event with a favorite scent without interfering with anyone's enjoyment of the smells and flavors of the food and drink. Over the years I've found that a drop or two of Shalimar or No. 5 extrait sticks close to the skin and melds well with food. Also, "foodie" type scents like Angel Liqueur de Parfum (VERY lightly applied, though) and Ambre Narguile work well.

Maybe the all natural scent of gravy that has dripped on my shirt probably, lol.

Now why did 2 basenoter's go ahead a beat me to the punch? Yes, +3, Chanel's Bois des Iles. I purchased this fragrance a couple of months ago and I am learning to appreciate it more and more. Very refined. I don't know why, but I think of Egoiste when I am wearing BDI.

It used to be Arabie but it soon got replaced with Fille en Aiguilles also by Serge Lutens.
