Recommendations for a modern clean & crisp professional scent.

This is my first post. I have been enjoying this site as a guest for awhile. Let me congratulate the members on a wonderful website with a true sense of community.

I am a young professional of 50 years requesting your collective recommendations for a modern clean, natural crisp scent. I work in an office setting and I am looking for a scent that makes me happy...and has a small chance of offending my coworkers. I am conservative by nature, and my ideal fragrance would be discreet and of the utmost quality. My wardrobe is heavily weighted towards Brooks Brothers with the occasional Hugo Boss thrown in for days when I feel special. I typically wear Creed Original Vetiver...and I wear GIT when I am not in the office. Sometimes I layer the GIT and OV together. In the summer, I typically wear Acqua di Parma original Colonia.

I know these are older scents. I am interested in modern scents that have a natural, clean & crisp quality to them. Nothing too spicy or sweet and nothing that even remotely smells unnatural. I am open to any price range because I believe you get what you pay for.

I thank you all in advance for your time in answering my post. I hope I have given enough of a description of myself to help with your recommendations....

Tom Fords Grey Vetiver.

Bois 1920 Vetiver Ambrato has the smell of Ivory soap. Dior Fahrenheit is clean and crisp. The trend these days is spicy and full of oud.

+1 Dior fahrenheit

I think you might enjoy Acqua Universalis by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I think some dismiss this one because it's so inoffensive, but I enjoy it quite a bit. And I think it satisfies all of your criteria well.

Grey vetiver and mugler cologne are good fresh scents to wear in the office

Mont Blanc Individuel is a very fresh-laundered scent, kindof like a stronger Downy fabric softener smell. In itself it isn't a natural scent (like trees or fruit), but it doesn't stick out as a scent that one doesn't run across in their everyday lives. Very pleasant, inoffensive, great longevity, and less than $50.

Crisp, clean and happymaking? (Also unisex?) I can't go past Serge Lutens L'Eau Froide.

Two I can think of. The first isn't modern at all, but a timeless classic that is perfect for professional setting, Tiffany for Men. The second is definitely modern, Costume National Homme.

I agree.

Welcome!

I like vetivers, and my favorites are Chanel Sycomore and Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire (the Tom Ford mentioned above is also good). Relative to Creed original vetiver, they are much less soapy and drier. VE is freshest, while Sycomore has a touch of dry woods.

A vintage which satisfies this criteria would be Opera IV by Capucci.

Thanks all for the help.. I didn't think I'd get so many varied replies...but I have taken the advice of some and placed an order from "surrender to chance" for about 5 of the frags listed. Thanks again.

Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme always makes me think young, clean, professional, well dressed

+ 1 on FM Vetiver Extraordinaire and MDCI Invasion Barbare. There's really nothing wrong with wearing older fragrances as the greats are often timeless. I normally avoid the trendier 'latest' mainstream designer releases as every other guy is likely to wear them, no matter how piss-poor these fragrances really are.

While I never was wowed with it like many others (not to imply that I dislike it), it definitely fits the bill and was the first one that came to mind.
