I am just getting incense and no more
Does this just not agree with my skin?

It definitely is incense heavy, but I also get a lot of vanilla.

It has been my experience talking to others that different people's skin reacts differently to it.

Note will emerge from a perfume.

Skin agreement/chemistry cannot influence whether certain notes emerge or not.

It appears you're not able to identify them.

I like this one. While the incense is prevalent it seems secondary to something a little more aromatic or spicy: coriander.

To me it smells like Moroccan desert air.

Weird. I'd see if you can return your bottle.

the opening is very spicy/incensy, very hard to pull off for first hour or so
the drydown is to die for, creamy smooth vanilla/amber/wood

The opening is a radioactive blast of spices.
The drydown is good indeed.

It's hard to pull off.

It's one of the best niches i've smelled so far. Incredible, wow! I don't get vanilla but do get spices and incense and woody notes. I'll give it a few more wearings and if it still feels this fantastic, will buy a bottle.

I'm wearing it today. I wasn't too fond of it when I first tried it, but now I love it. I don't get that much incense out of it, at least as I perceive it, but I think the cedar and amber drydown is marvelous. I think I detect a smidgen of vetiver in there too.

I'm still wearing it from a sample I got 4 years ago, and it still has quite a bit left because I don't wear it very often, and it's so potent that you only need one small spritz to make it work. I will buy a full bottle when the sample runs out.

Keep coming back to it and see if your perceptions change.
