AXE smells like alcohol?

I've already used 3 different AXEs: Dark Temptation, Twist and Africa/Kilo.
However, they all smell pretty much the same to me - like alcohol. The smell isn't exactly the same in all of them, but it's not pleasant at all and alcohol it's their base.

I was thinking about buying AXE Anarchy for Him, as I've seen some girls saying the "for her" version smells nice (hopefully they don't like the smell of alcohol), do you think it'll be the same as the other 3 I tried?

I.ve never noticed an alcohol smell from Axe...but to be honest I think Axe absolutely reeks of...well...axe. I think you can do better than axe!

Maybe I bought defective AXEs lol

Maybe it's just a sensation before notes settle- Axe does indeed tend to be more spirituous before drydown, but after that, my feeling is that the alcohol notes have been dimmed, muted like in the case of any other scent.

I don't really get an alcohol vibe, but rather a stuffy sort of sensation I get from a lot of aerosol deodorants
