My obsession with Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch...

It's impossible to sample.
I can't find it anywhere.

The reviews are very good.
Foetidus gives it a thumbs up.
It's expensive.
It should be an amazing compliment getter.
Ladies love it.

I have so much fun with the typical "panty dropper" / "highly complimented by ladies" fragrances.
Rochas Man....
Hanae Mori HM...
Aventus...
Dior Homme Intense...
l'Instant Extreme...
360 Red...
Fierce seems to be different.
It makes you smell like a clothing store. (no wonder this is extremely sexy for the ladies)

Anyway, next week I'll receive a sample of Mont Blanc's Legend.
It should be similar to Fierce...
I might blind buy Fierce on the internet if I like Legend.
What if it's just a bland woody citrus fragrance?
For that price?

Ugh...

You can sample Fierce at Abercrombie store in most malls (or just walk by the store and the scent will overpower you). Also you can purchase a decanted sample from ebay. I only see a 10ml sample listed, but shoot him a message and he will probably do a 4ml for half the price.

It's a bit similar than Bleu de Chanel.

Not sure where your from but its also very hard here for me to sample Fierce, its almost like it doesnt exist. I luckily bought a 30ml bottle off a guy form here blind and its a lovely scent. Smells a tad 90's, orangey citrus musk and woods. Just smells young and masculine. If its any help Mont Blanc Legend is almost identical, i mean really really close not just a bit similar

Hmmm I don't know, I don't trust decants from Ebay sellers...

I feel your hesitation, but I have smelled in the store and bought a 10ml decant from ebay and it is legit (at least from the seller I used). It is a decent scent (not my favorite), but I never wear it, so it just sits on the shelf with many other decants.

Okay, a quick update.
I bought Fierce blind... paid $93 for the 50ML.
I am not regretting it. This stuff is great.
One of the best fresh fragrances around.
I get a delicious apple aroma out of it.
And yes.... ladies love it. Great stuff.

I liked Fierce but it was too expensive to buy in the UK for what it is.

MB Legend is almost identical and about half the price.

Nice frag.

Although it's not identical R by Revillon is a very inexpensive alternative. It's a sweeter alternative to Fierce and Platinum Egoiste, but still has the same feel in the opening.

I did not get the Legend and Fierce comparison at all. Legend smells far too similar to Lynx / Axe. Fierce is far more fuller / richer / more powerful fragrance.

I do not own either so I'm not being bias in anyway. That is just my take on it. However I will concede that I have only sampled Fierce once so it could have just been a crappy old bottle sat in the bright lights of a department store too long.

Nice fragrance and you can't beat the sillage and longevity from it

I wore it in highschool everyday. Girls love it, but it's way too popular. On two different dates I was told I smelled like the A&F store lol.

I used to be ok with this stuff many many years ago. But the fact that you can smell this stuff immediately when you walk into a shopping mall, no matter where the store is at planted a real nasty hatred for it. It nauseates me terribly

The secret, if you want good results with Fierce, is that you should not live near an A&F store. There is only 1 store in my country. The brand is not popular over here. I get a lot of attention from the ladies when wearing Fierce. I can hear them sniffing around when I walk by, with only 2 sprays. This stuff blooms on my skin. I don't want to be without it.

I feel sorry for a&f employees. That smell will be ingrained in their brains until they kick the bucket.

I wore this in 10th grade when it first came out and got the same reaction you've had from the ladies. Nowadays it's instantly recognizeable everywhere you go.

It's a shame that they overspray this in their stores in the USA.
I'm very happy to live in good ol' Europe, lol.

It's a good thing I only wear frags I like, and don't give a damn what others think
With the exception of a couple the wife can't stand of course

I think its a dated smell for me personally, it was INSANELY popular 10 years ago. I out grew the scent, it just reminds me of the store too much.

I realize his thread is old but-
Could you not order it online from A&F? It is $98 for 200ml from them.
