Hello to everyone. I have been enjoying this forum so much. I accidentally stumbled onto this magnificent website and have been lurking here for a couple weeks now. I never knew there was such a place where folks could gather to discuss fragrances.
I've been a fragrance junkie since I was about 10 yo.(Avon's Wild Country was my first) and now I'm 54. I still love to buy fragrances not only for me but for my wife of 25 years and also my three kids.
Currently, my most recent purchases have been Hermes Voyage Parfum and Terre D'Hermes Parfum(both of which I think are great smelling fragrances and have received many compliments) and Thierry Mugler Pure Malt (I bought Pure Malt blindly after reading the reviews here. I got lucky with this blind purchase. I think it's fantastic) and Cartier Declaration Essence which I think smells terrific and Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver which is great. I also replaced original Cartier Declaration that I ran out of.
The question I have is I'm looking for my first rose fragrance that a man could wear. I know Rose fragrances have been discussed at length here but I'm looking to blind buy one of these and after reading many of the different rose threads here I'm confused as to which one to blind buy. I realize it's a personal thing and blind buying isn't always the smartest thing to do, but I have one foot off a cliff and the other foot on a banana peel so someone needs to push me just a little right now.
Zino Davidoff and Aacteur Azzaro are inexpensive and got good reviews here but they were supposedly remormulated to something different than the originals which got so-so reviews.
All the other Rose Fragrances mentioned in many of the other threads are niche fragrances (which I have never owned any expensive niche fragrances) and seem to be soooooo expensive, and many of them have very mixed reviews. Even so, I'd be willing to buy one on a blind buy if I can get some blind buy suggestions.
So far, I have narrowed my choices down to Tom Ford's Noir De Noir, LE Labo 31, Artelier Rose, and Montale Black Oud(which has many mixed reviews).
As a side note, I wish I could pull the trigger on Creed Aventus as my first niche fragrance just because it seems so well liked by so many, but because there seems to be so much discussion about this fragrance having so many different variations from one lot to another, and some lots not being liked very much, I backed off buying it and began my search for the rose scent.
Which rose fragrance would you get, or did you get on a blind buy? Thanks to everyone in advance!

and after all the search and all the perfumes i sniffed so far! this one has everything i look for: natural, but longlasting, smells like perfume, smells more on the masculine side(thats the only -), most beautiful opening there is,wearable in many occasions, for weddings too
