Daytime Winter Cologne

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

I'm looking for a daytime winter scent for a 20 year old male.
I'm looking for something around the $40-$80 range.

Are YSL la nuit or A*Men Angel good daytime colognes for everday use?

I already have Burberry London.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Lol, well "La Nuit" literally translates to "The Night", but don't let that stop you! In the winter I think you can wear whatever you like, it's in the warm weather that certain frags can become cloying.

Try the following:

* Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf
* Givenchy Play Intense by Givenchy
* CK One Shock for Him by Calvin Klein
* Rochas Man by Rochas

By the way, welcome to Basenotes!

I'd recommend:

Chanel Egoiste
Rochas Man
L'Occitane Eau des Baux
YSL Rive Gauche pour Homme (in black and silver tin can)
Michael by Michael Kors
Terre d'Hermes parfum

And maybe YSL La Nuit and V&R Spicebomb

Try Eau des Baux. It's perfect for this time of year and is very reasonably priced.

Try:

Sharply woody, bit spicy and rich:
L'Occitane Eau des Baux
Prada Amber Intense
Chanel Egoiste

Clean but not summery:
YSL Rive Gauche
Burberry Brit
Dior Homme

Dark and woody:
CK Euphoria Men Intense
Lalique Encre Noir
Commes des Garcons Wonderwood
Zirh Ikon

Sweet and warm, vanillaic:
Mugler A*Men
Rochas Man
Givenchy Very Irresistible Man
Bulgari Black

Sample before you buy!

Judging by the two you posted, you're looking for something that is on the sweeter side of things.
As stated, La Nuit translates to "The Night" but I still wear it at all times of the day. So yes, it would definitely work.
You may like Pure Malt and Armani Code Intense (It's a bit sweeter and definitely projects better than the original, although I prefer the original).

L.I.D.G.E. makes a very nice winter, daytime, fragrance. At work I receive many compliments when wearing it and not too many other workers wear it.

I say Mandarina Duck Pure Black - Perfect blend of freshness and warmth. A hidden gem IMO
