looking for help selecting a new winter mens cologne

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new as far as understanding subtle differences in cologne goes, and would appreciate
some help selecting a cologne that fits my personality and such.

I'm 19 years old, I consider myself a pretty relaxed guy (tshirts and hoodies, jeans, etc)
and am looking for something to fit that lifestyle. I like woodsy scents, something masculine
but definitely not a powerhouse. I'd prefer people need to come talk to me to smell the cologne,
rather than people noticing me when I walk in the door. As far as skin type goes, I have relatively oily
skin (not sure if that matters but I've seen people talking about skin type online so I figured I'd mention
it here just in case).

I'd really appreciate it if you guys had any advice on what you think would work well. Any information is
great I'm looking to learn! Also, it would be great if you guys could tell me how much to apply on average,
because I've heard all kinds of answers regarding application.

Thanks!

Welcome!

I like a lot Chanel Egoiste (the regular Egoiste, not the Platinum Egoiste version). Warm, sandalwoody, with just a touch of sweetness.

As for how much to apply, it really depends on you, 2 to 4 sprays. It also depends on where you apply (exposed skin versus covered by clothes - if it's a covered part of your body, you project less). Oily skin usually keeps a scent for longer than dry skin, so you can use a little less than people with dry skin.

+1 to Egoiste. (Again, not Platinum Egoiste, but regular Egoiste.)

I know a lot of people like Burberry London in the winter, but I'm finding that Burberry Brit performs well in these cooler days.
