Hi there! i just found this website, and it's fabulous! I just wish I'd found it years ago. I love perfume, rose is my favourite scent. Gardenia is a very close second. I enjoy EDP's the most, although I will use EDT if I have no other choice. Any suggestions for perfumes with rose as the main fragrance would be awesome, any gardenia ones too. Or even better, if there's a rose and gardenia scent, where the 2 are mixed!
Anyway, nice to meet you all. I hope to get to know you better!

Welcome, Mosaic! Have u tried Stella by Stella McCartney? It does come in EDP!

Hi Mosaic! Welcome from another newbie! I'm not a huge fan of rose, so I'm not a good judge of that, but as far as gardenia goes, I find the gardenia in Dior Pure Poison to be very pronounced. Still, all time favorite gardenia is Marc Jacobs. I wore it for quite a while, and I've been tempted to go back to it.

Hello, Mosaic. Have you tried layering your favorite rose with a favorite gardenia fragrance? It could work beautifully.

Voleur de Roses by L'Artisan Parfumeur,
Stella by Stella McCartney (as mentioned before),
Lady Vengeance by Juliette Has a Gun,
Une Rose by Frederic Malle
Gardenia by Isabey,
Monyette Paris (a sweet vanilla, gardenia),
Gardenia Passion by Annick Goutal,

+1 for Stella McCartney. Paul Smith Rose is a lovely, true rose scent.

My favourite gardenias are Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia, & Van Cleef & Arpels Gardenia Petale.

l don't recall any perfumes that have both notes.

try Hothouse Flower by Ineke. Soooooo nice. Ineke also makes a pleasant one called Briar Rose.

Welcome. Aside from any suggestions you have and will get, you can always try the fragrance directory; hit the advanced search tab and you can search fragrances by notes, or combination of notes. I just ran it and it said there were 155 fragrances with those two notes together. Have fun!
