Morning fragrant ones,

How are we feeling today? I was up up early had my breakfast and a strong cup of coffee and all is right with the world.

I'm going to hold of applying my SOTD as I'm getting delivery of Creed Royal Scottish Lavander and HdP Ambrarem (I will decide when I sniff them for the first time)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Give on. Treat yourself. When you feel like that you just have to.

Morning fragranceman88. The postie will be welcomed with a big smile at your house this morning.

Day off today. I'm going to visit a baby then I am driving to the Country to visit family. To me, the twain are not really compatible, fragrance wise. Actuaaaaaally, I might go for a tiny drop MFK Lumiere Noire then a big skoosh more before my journey. Done!

Happy Birthday, kumquat! Where are you?
Wearing Jicky EdP today. What shall I say... it smells so ME and I am very happy with it.
The weather forecast is all wintery for the weekend. Good thing the gingerbread for the Christmas season is ready.
Best to all

Happy birthday, Kumquat!

Best to all.

Hi All,

Testing Patou's Lasso (kindly supplied by Furrypine) for the final time today before it gets passed on. Three times I've tried it, and three times it has left me baffled. The Osmothèque classify it as a "Chypré Fruité", which is really only half the story. It is certainly no fruit-punch like Colony (also a "Chypré Fruité") . There are florals and musks and soft leather, too. The whole composition feels rather flat and muted, which I imagine has something to do with age. Not something I'd wear, but great to have had the opportunity to smell something so obscure.

Happy Birthday, Kumquat ! Many fragrant returns to you.

Have a lovely day, folks.

Easyfish, them Dior lipsticks are pure pornography for my eyes now that I am wearing more and more merlots and clarets. You, the tempting devil! Ahhhh..... More?

Something light-hearted and cheerful for me today: Yardley of London April Violets.

Happy birthday to Kumquat!

Good morning, goodsmelling people!

Datura Blanche today. Enough that I am glad my coworker isn't in yet, it needs a few minutes to settle down! But it is one that smells good all day, changes, is kind of alive like that.

That's one of my favorites. I agree about it needing some time to settle down.

Bijou Romantique for me today.

Ding-ding-ding-ding! Evangeline and I are twins! I'm in No. 5 parfum.

I don't normally read the comics section, but an Iggy cartoon in this a.m.'s paper caught my eye. Iggy said he keeps a pet rock for sedimental reasons. The following song has been in my head since then. The line “I think of you every morning” certainly applies to how I feel about you BNer folks -- I love you for sentimental and scentimental reasons!

Quarry and the only rock she couldn't move on her own.

Aedes de Venustas by L'Artisan Parfumeur (from a new birthday gift)

This stuff is beautiful. I'm immediately reminded of the spicy/peppery/incense of Opus IV and other Duchafour creations.

Hugs to all!!!

Holy smokes, Quarry! That's not a rock! It's a boulder! Is someone else going to move it or is it staying put as a conversation piece? (Or for sedimental reasons?) My yoga instructor would love that -- she is an inveterate TERRIBLE punner.

Given that LadyM and I seem to really enjoy many of the same fragrances, I'm thinking I need to go ahead, not worry about the iris (especially since I seem to be wearing minor notes of it pretty well lately), and just try Tabac Blond already. (Hangs head) Yes, it's true. I've been doing the fragrance/BN thing for 2.5 years now, and I still haven't tried a single Caron. I don't tend to get along well with the classics. The moderns are much more up my alley, as evidenced by my wardrobe which is chock full of Serge Lutens. Maybe Tabac will buck the trend.

Today I've veered sharply away from the olfactory toothache I've been indulging for the last few weeks. (Ah, ambery vanilla sweetness, how I love thee!) SotD is Ava Luxe No. 23. Which is fan-freaking-tastic, btw.

(((inees))) Good luck. You're almost there.

Oh, and Happy Birthday, Kumquat!!

Sedimental reasons? Why, it's

*groan* I think I'd get on very well with your yoga teacher, ExtremeK.

Hankering for some En Avion extrait later tonight.
Best to all.

I'll use it during my rock classification lessons- though in Italian isn't that smart!

SotD is great Avignon, comforting in a dark and rainy day.

I don't know whether it's a change in habits overall or just laziness but lately I seem to wear the same perfume for several days in a row; sometimes a whole week (!). So another day in Musc et Freesia.

Interesting to hear about the Robe Noir extrait... I surprised myself by really falling for this scent (the description just didn't sound like something I'd get ga-ga over).

Happy Birthday Kumquat!! Enjoy your special day.
Easyfish, I am more attracted to your fine picture of the garden and trees than the lipstick

ExtremeK, isn't No. 23 wonderful?! It is one of my absolute favorites.

And, after all of that, I am in Dior Homme today, but have no Dior lipstick to put on Only Guerlain

Good evening fabulously fragranced friends.

I've been in Lyn Harris for M&S La Poudree for the past WEEK! Absolutely beautiful, powdery, bosomy loveliness that lasts forever. Such a delight

mee too i wear 2-3 scents day in day out, dont like to rotate so frequently nose needs a little rest too Sacrebleu today

happy birthday!!!, so many lovely greetings for Kumquat

I am in good company with Quarry and Evangeline (at least this morning) by wearing Chanel no5. I think my decant is the EDP, but not positive. I've told this story before about a dream I had right before New Years Eve 2005 ... I dreamed that no5 told me to wear her, that she would bring me luck and happiness, and wealth beyond my wildest dreams! And it made perfect sense because 5 is my favorite number and usually lucky for me. Well, long story short ... nothing special happened except all the compliments I received, BUT tonight I bought a lottery ticket for the 500+million cash prize. I'm giving no5 one more chance to make my dream come true.

Sending happy birthday wishes to kumquat

Q., this a capella piece is stunning. How I love a capella singing! Are they doing that show this year where only non-instrumental bands participate, anyone knows?
