I would imagine that those who love Le Mâle by Jean Paul Gaultier(LM) might love the combination of worlds here in Armani Code Ultimate (ACU). I find it strange as I have not yet learned to love...
this is easily the worst amouage i've tried & i've tried most. a cloying clove cluster that really sends a feeling of nausea through the system. i persevered through the interminable dyrdown (it...
I went shopping for a new perfume in March and had difficulty finding something new to try at Sephora. The scents at the store become blended after smelling a few samples. I decided to buy...
Purchased this in the duty free on the way back to Doha. I picked Forever And Ever Dior because the description contained base notes that I normally like. This is a clean scented-floral that is...
A smooth, lightly-spiced vanilla. Unlike many vanilla-dominant scents it isn't heavy, cloying, nor too sweet for non-teenagers. I don't know where the name 'Santal' comes from, I can't detect any....
I don't think I have found a "best" yet because all the ones I have smelled to date mess one facet of the fragrance or another up even when the pineapple is done right. So my answer is "none".
Donna Karan Fuel for Men is a good one with pineapple. The note is more subdued than in Aventus. I recently tried another pineapple, Lonach by Castle Forbes. I found that one a bit sickly.
Another one I've come across is the peculiar Mage d'Orient by Comptoir Sud Pacifique. Also contains coconut, lime, lychee. Quite nice but not the best quality ingredients IMHO.

Yes, it can be challenging. Realistic as the pineapple is, pairing it with the sweetish "Taylor of Bond Street"esque sandalwood didn't do both accords and the frag many favours. I still love Lonach for the mess it really is.
Top-shelf: Kouros Fraicheur.
Cheap, but very good: Nautica Blue (a Maurice Roucel creation)
Curious to try: Burberry London for Men Special Edition 2009...if anyone knows, please share some thoughts. I would appreciate it.
And, ironically one to mention that I just tried for the first time recently (by sample) - Canali Men (a Pierre Bourdon creation from 2005!) Impressed me - a very interesting composition.
