I used to love Le Male as it was part of my rotation and collection since it came out. I even bought a bottle in Paris as a 'wearable memory'. It is still in my collection and is, in my opinion, a modern classic.
Jacomo Rouge is definitely very similar, but it takes more spices and really offers a "sharper" edge and less heavy sweetness, although it dries down to a nice warm vanilla/tonka base. The cardamom is key in making the top more spicy.
I like both - Le Male, to me, has a lot of history and still smells great (especially when I want to remember being in my mid-to-late 20's!), but Jacomo is an easy wear and costs less...plus I like the spiciness here.
Either one for me - I'm in the same mood to wear these scents and pick one or the other. I have the very nice After Shave Lotion and After Shave Balm of Le Male, though, so if a clean shave is part of the equation...I usually go that way. A grab, spray 'n go scent - Jacomo Rouge. Both are complimented.
Cheers.
