Bulgari BVL review

Thread Starter
bought a mini 5ml on amazon. the opening is brutal and headache inducing soapy and powdery and sharp (up until now i did not know anything could be powdery and sharp at the same time)....i was going to scrub it off right away but i toughed it out 6 hours and now it is just a musky powdery clean smell that is actually not that bad...maybe this was not that big of a seller because the opening is so brutal and generic.

The strong ginger is a deal-breaker for me. I cannot get past it to appreciate whatever else is good about Blu.

Not a fan of this one.

I guess I'll be the first to chime in with an - "It's great".
It's my favourite of all the Bvlgaris I own - PH, PH Extreme, Soir, Black, Blv Notte

The only thing I don't like about it is that its intensity drops off after about four hours.

Renato

Few years ago i've been enjoying this clean scent, after gym, after shower this was my choice, nothing offensive, nothing brutal, just clean powdery feeling...

It reminds me of Turkey!
I took it when I travelled this summer to Istanbul & Antalya.
Nothing very special, but good longevity and in a non-offensive way.
I'm not going to buy it again when ran out...

In the Bvlgari line I much prefer Aqua PH and Black.

From Bvlgari, I would prefer Black and Extreme, your review describes BLV quite accurately and also the reasons for my largely neutral feelings about this scent.

I think I'm one of only two or three people on basenotes that really like BLV. For years it was my daily scent. Yes, it can be a bit harsh on the initial blast, but within a few minutes (by the time I'm out the door in the morning) it calms down. To me it's fresh and a bit powdery, but the ginger keeps it from smelling generic. And while nobody I dated thought it was particularly sexy, all of them liked it.

Even after all these years, it's still in my daily rotation, currently sharing it with Neroli Portofino and GIT.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Not a fan of this one either, trying to swap/sell it.
