£150 ($260) to spend. What to buy?

I am looking to add a new bottle in collection.

The bottle must

a. Have monster sillage / projection like Montales.
b. Great lasting power like Montales.

I was looking at perhaps an Amouage Epic Man / Jubilation XXV / Memoir Man to go in the collection. It does not necessarily have to be an expensive bottle/fragrance. I am happy to spend less if I can get a great smell.

A bottle of LIDGE is on it's way and will be added in the picture once I have it. Basically anything with Montale like projection and longevity will be considered.

Cheers

This is what I have so far:

I would like a daddy size bottle of Leather Oud which is only $230 for a 250ml bottle but I don't know where can I get this in the UK?

Have you considered Mazzolari? Their Lui is phenomenal.

Or perhaps another couple Montales.

imo if you have your mind set on leather oud, thats what I would get. Its a beast, quality juice. I'm pretty sure you could order it online from there euro site. Or maybe call a few boutiques and ask about it.

I would go with something from MFK. Possibly APOM or Lumiere Noire.

Seems very difficult to buy in the UK. Only if I lived in the States or had a trip planned. Would've been nice but ..

May I suggest some Montales? Not familiar with the line, but if you want Montale projection and longevity, buy one.

Not keen on M7, vintage is difficult to obtain.

TV is on to buy list.

Have 4 Montales already but want to explore different houses which I am missing and there seems to be quite a few of them.

Then I'd definitely second the recommendation of TV. It's a BEAST with longevity. Also, I find Memoir Man lasts a very long time as well. It's a very nice incense and pepper fragrance, but I struggle with the price point.

If the main condition is strong like Montale than u should go with Amouage Interlude ( this is strongest there is , and u get mix of memoir, epic ... and chaos ).

FK Oud , great projection , great parfume ....

I really don't want to tell you how to spend your money, but Tobacco Vanille is pretty incredible. 2 sprays will see you through at least 24 hours.

It's not actual. Every batch after middle 2011 is fine.

I have decided to hold onto January sales. But will keep the suggestions in mind. Thanks all!

Right here we are with semi decent Jan sales popping up, I am able to secure bottle of Jubilation XXV at an interesting price.

What is the projection and longevity of Jub XXV? Cheers

Selfridges in London have those big bottles of Dior exclusives, I think.

Exactly. If Montales are your point of reference, why not buy them?

I am trying to get some new houses in my collection. So far I haven't seen the strength of Montale in any other house but then I don't have many niche houses in my collection.

Perhaps Amouage could be added if I can find some more info on strength of the juice.

If you're flying from Gatwick or Heathrow ( or have an obliging friend) - the Chanel Boutiques at the airport do the 200ml Les Exclusives for about £158 (which works out at about £79 per 100 ml - the equivalent of most of the mainstream brands) -I'd go for Cuire de Russie or Coromandel - and douse yourself in them, for added silage.

Richard James Eau de Toilette, and you can go to Saville Row to get it.
Not only lasts 10-12 hours and has sillage to spare, and it is soooooooo British!!!!!!
