question about decanting

So I'm about to decant into a brand new after market bottle I got off of ebay, do I need to clean out the inside first or is it good to go? If I do indeed need to clean it out, how do I do that? I was thinking about putting some rubbing alcohol in the bottle and shaking it up pretty good then rinsing it with water, then letting it air dry, but I don't know; maybe I don't even need to clean it out. Thoughts?

Why would you want to clean the inside?

Does it look stained?

I'd just decant to it.

If you really are keen on cleaning it then just flush it with hot water and detergent and then let dry.

You can choose from a few different color atomizer tops, so I figured the bottles are open until they place a top on 'em. The bottle appears to be new, but really I have no idea how old the bottle is or where it was stored, so I thought maybe it might warrant a rinse before I decant, but I wasn't sure so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks for the response.

IMO I always like to clean new glass bottles before use. You don't have to at all. But I'm picky. I always use dish soap. Rinse well with water. Air dry then rinse with rubbing alcohol, then air dry and your good to go.
