the scent of cigarette smoke

i'm going to be honest about something. i know most people can't stand the smell of smoke, but i really love it. in a community of people who love scents that most people don't like, i assume there is someone here like me.

i just love the smell of a lit cigarette and i actually like the smell of someone who just smoked. if i find a girl attractive physically, the smell of smoke on her jacket is a big turn on (not a fetish - i just like the smell).

i don't smoke, though i have before. i'm concerned about my health and i can't afford it as a habit, so i never got into it as a habit. though i wish it were free of negative consequence because it's something i enjoy. such bittersweet.

anyone here just like the smell?

Same here. That's the reason i enjoy pure havane /tom ford TV more than my Creeds

Can't say I honestly do.

I don't! But I do know a couple of people who do.

Hate it and esp the way it clings to clothing/skin/everything. I've become more militant about it too since I've stopped dating all these smokers lol (not sure if I could go back to that now) and they've finally banned it in many places.

I remember the smoke of a pipe to smell more pleasant.

I really love tobacco notes in fragrance but I can't think of any fragrance that smells like cigarette smoke. Good cigarettes maybe used to smell nice, but most cigs now smell vile, especially the cheap ones. Blerg. Buuut, whatever tickles your pickle.....

ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette has the most incredible cigarette tobacco note, not leaf or pipe, cigarette!!. It is really like that smell of a newly opened pack of Cigarettes, but again it's not cig smoke.

Anyway if you want to smell like cigarette smoke, why bother with fragrance? Just smoke a fag, or stand near to someone else smoking one. Easy.

agree with foustie, etat libre d'orange jasmin et cigarettes is probably the most accurate.
second one is illuminum wild tobacco but i'd say is probably more of a cold cigar ash smell.

Depends, if it is the smoke of a balanced, highly flavored cigar or cigarillo, I might like it too, even if I don't smoke either.

In addition to that, I am not bothered by smoky scents either, there are some fragrances where a smoky note actually comes across not just discreetly, but also pleasantly (one striking example I can think of being G Man by Gainsboro - leather, birch tar, dark almost to the point of being a powerhouse scent, all this with a lingering impression of a particular note, somewhere in between tobacco smoke and gunpowder smoke).

LOL.

I like to SMELL smoke. I don't want to smell LIKE smoke.

But I don't want to actually do it firsthand, as it is an expensive habit that would cut into my frag purchases LOL

A wisp of fresh tobacco smoke in passing on the street is rather nice. But once it hangs in a room, and bitterly permeates everything, there are few things more obnoxious.

No. Cigarettes and cigars smell good to me until they are lit. The smoke smells awful. Pipes less bad but still.

Feel the same way about other smokeables. There isn't much that smells good burning. Woodsmoke is OK, some incenses...But all these things smell better before they are set on fire IMO.

.

Me too. I LOVE pipe smoke. To me, cigarettes are so far removed from the humble tobacco plant that I don't even consider them tobacco.

As for cigarette smoke, though, I HATE it. I'm actually allergic to it and if I'm in a place where someone's been smoking a certain type of cigarette for longer than about an hour and a half, I have to run outside frequently so that I don't vomit. I definitely don't find it attractive. I think dating a smoker would be out of the question for me because I just couldn't handle that on any sort of long term basis.

Yes, I understand. I love the smell of pipe tobacco smoke. I don't really care for the smell of cigarette smoke though. It completely turns me off. I guess that is why I so enjoy TF Tobacco Vanille. I do get a serious tobacco note in that one. Another smell that I like, you find find this to be somewhat odd, is the smell of shoe polish. I have always been drawn to it. And one of my all time favorite smells is that of gasoline. Maybe I am simply weird, but I do so enjoy the smell of many odd things we come into contact in our day to day lives.
