should I buy a*men or one of its copies

I really like a*men the original one, love the smell/longevity/sillage. I know it's not that expensive to begin with, but I always like to save as much money as possible. so I was considering buying one of the "copies" I've read about on the web.

I read that they both smell very similar to a*men and have good longevity/sillage. Problem is I don't think I'll be able to find them anywhere around me to smell or sample (from Toronto). So I could:

1. Buy one of the two above. Turns out I like it nearly as much as a*men. Save 40-50 bucks. But risk not liking it and wasting around 10-20 bucks.

2. Buy a*men. But miss out on potentially saving 40-50 bucks.


What to do?

You can purchase the A*Men set (deodorant, 3.3 oz bottle, and body wash + bag) off fragrancenet for a little under $60. I would just go with that.

really? mind sharing a link?

also mind sharing a link for just the cologne itself, if you have one? for similar, very cheap prices lol (I figured just the juice itself would run me at least $70-80...)

Don't ever settle for a copy of something you know you love.

You can always type in "Basenotes" in the code section when you check out to get 15% off. However, there are often 20% off codes floating around in the "Discounts and Coupon Boards" marketplace. +1. This is what I did. Also, make sure to put 15% "basenotes" coupon, or wait for 20% that is occasionally posted here. To offset the shipping fee, order it via ebates.

Perhaps also check out Animale Animale. It came out a year before A*men, and A*men is a less masculine version of it.
And it can be found a lot cheaper than A*men.

Actually, there's a little trick to getting the 20% coupon. All you have to do is get on Fragrancenet, put your browser in private mode, then refresh the page. I meant to share that with the members here some time ago, but I completely forgot!

I believe the price may have gone up (I recall only paying $57 for mine, including shipping)
Just do the 20% trick, and it should run you $65 after shipping.

Agreed. If you absolutely love something, but don't have the cash...save In the end, you'll be happier with the real thing than a knock off.

I really thought you were asking about a flanker...in which my response would be YES buy Pure Malt over A*men....

...then I realized you were asking about a knock off A*men to which I say NOOOOOOOOOOOO. If that's the choice then by all means get A*men, it can be found about as cheap as they come.
