Good morning all! I am feeling quite festive now that
I have heard Fairytale of New York on the radio and watched
the Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special on T.V. last night.

I shall wear Angel for the first time this year as I take the
ladies from the Day Centre on a trip to see an exhibition of decorated
trees in a local church.

Frosty and freezing cold here in Shropshire.

I am dizzy with pleasure in lots of O'Driu Linfidele 1003. It's a good job it is my day off!!

How are you enjoying the Coco Roberto? I think that she is the most glamorous of the Chanels. Are you surrounded by a beautiful cloud? I have said it before, I would love to smell Coco on a man.

Lavish langourous liquors galore continues for me here: Hermes Rouge.

Lucasai, lectures have always been my favorite part of any studying program. Of course, it all depends on the subject and the personality of the instructor.

Where is lilybelle?

Those new Lubins look inviting.

Yesterday went smoothly -- for the first time in about two months we have not left the house on my day off (usually it is either shopping or fixing stuff) -- I started another stitching project in white silk and baked banana bars. Dreaming of a white Christmas, I suppose.

Have a nice day.

I always attend lectures though they're not a compulsory at university here. I took a break today because one of the lectures has finished last week and I would have a free time from 9.30 until noon when another lecture starts. I commute to Poznań 1,5 hours each way and I though there's no sense to go there today just to attend the first lecture and then wait for 3 hours for another lecture to begin. Maybe I would go when chemistry department was in the city centre but it's in the far suburbs...

Hello everyone, very chilly here this morning. SOTD is the lovely, utterly feminine Dior New Look 1947.

Notes include peony, ylang-ylang, pink pepper, jasmine sambac, rose, tuberose, iris, benzoin, and vanilla

Congrats on your compliments, Jon. Three of them, wow! What a lift.

Best to all.

The Dreams Unlimited from my $10 body shop deal. I do like it - almost certainly because of the chile, like other peppers it almost doesn't have a 'smell', exactly, but more of a 'sensation' or texture, that I find extremely pleasant. This is the EDP. I am not inspired to try the lotion or the EDT, if they make a solid of this, though, or an oil, I am in.

Good afternoon from sunny but cold Milan.
I've given another chance to Intrigant Patchouli, today, and I'm on a thin line between wanting to scrub it off and enjoying it... Loving the honey and ambery vibe, but can't stand the bug spray note!

It's so interesting how the same fragrance can wear so differently on people. I've never gotten a bug spray note from IP -- it's one of my favorite patchoulis, and I almost wore it today. I can certainly understand, though, why that note would make you hesitate. My goodness, that would be unpleasant. Iodine, have you looked for something similar that doesn't give you that effect? I'm trying to think if I've come across anything like IP.... So you like the honey and ambery vibe of the patchouli ... hmmm. Oh, hey! Have you tried Mazzolari Patchouly? I think it's a lovely, easy-wearing ambery patchouli. Very warm and sweet. I don't get much herbal effect at all....

And why did I think of the Mazzolari? Because I'm in Mazzolari Lei today. Until this fall, I've assiduously avoided anything that even approached a powdery effect. Couldn't stand it. Now I keep going to Lei *because* of the lovely ambery powder. My nose must be evolving.

Thanks, ExtremeK, I'll try it. Mazzolari is a huge perfume shop ten minutes walking from my house... They're not very friendly, so I've always kind of snubbed their own brand....

Have a wonderful night, Dr.G!

Grrr, is that Levi's ad banner obnoxious! You BN plus people don't know what I'm complaining about but I bet the others do. Can't scroll anywhere near the $@%&(# thing without being swept off to Levi's page and it has rendered BN unusable from the Kindle. I love my Levi's but this makes me feel a lot less charmed by them. Ok, done ranting, thanks for indulging me!

I just had to take a break from the Goutals because I have my new HdP and it's been just killing me that I've had no time to wear it! Today I couldn't have resisted even if I tried, Tubereuse 1 it is.

PL, I am using the regular computer and that Levi page is here too: first bigger in size and taking about half the screen and showcasing a lady in a short denim dress and a red jacket on top (none of them tickle my fancy, you know?). Then disappearing altogether.

Caron Acaciosa this PM. Christmas came early: got two packages from the Royal Mail, gotta open them up, drooling already.

hahaha amazing!!! i tested it on a blotter today too! for the first time i think this is ambery benzoin-patchouly trio...refreshened somewhat by ginger....i dont like amber that much! patchouli is not my favourite as well, but this combination smells nice, its very well balanced, like perfumed up pathcouli if i would wear it? maybe not...becasue amber is a bit dull note for me but definitely not a scrub off !! i think overall this one is nice perfume!and better then expected it smells very ellegant while patchoulis can smell dirty raw
post #41 of 46
Yep, I get the same as you from the laptop, Twolf. On the Kindle, I can't touch anything without being diverted to Levi's page and have seen the lookbook enough times to know there's nothing for my tastes there. Least of all that short denim dress with red cardigan; much too kiddie for this grown woman. Will give them some love for their women's 515 jeans though. Cut perfectly straight through the leg, made to flatter, not follow trends- plus come in petite sizes for shorties like me. They're a perfect foundation for building casual yet sophisticated outfits. But I sure hate that ad banner!

In Le Labo Aldehyde 44 for the evening. Have a nice night, all!
