Good morning all!

I'm leaving for a short holiday in Basel- from which I'll come back with a decant of Vero.Profumo Rubj!! - fragrantly smelling of Bornéo 1834.
Have a nice Friday and weekend!

Morning All,

Very grateful it is Friday. Seems like they snuck a few extra days into this week.

Have a good trip, iodine and enjoy your new perfume. Your signature makes me laugh: My claim-to-fame-by-proxy is that back in the late 60s, my mother was working at a music festival in France. Leonard Cohen apparently came riding on to the stage on a horse (!), causing everyone to worry the whole rig would collapse. Anyway, he invited my mother up on stage while he played his set. Pretty cool bananas in my book.

Anyway, Ambre Précieux is my SotD.

Have a great Friday, gang.

Iodine, saw a travel programme about Switzerland last week which included a feature on Basel - it looks a stunning place. Have a great trip.

Hello everyone.

It's cold and breezy outside and I'm wearing an extravagant amount of Gourmand Coquin

Enjoy your holiday, iodine!

my favourite yilang yialng

i want to order samples from veroprofumo but have found only perfume versions..

Enjoy your trip iodine! The Vero Profumo line is fantastic. Let us know how you get on with RUBJ. Ha Ha, cool bananas indeed G.

Well I caved and bought the Frederic Malle 2012 Collectors Coffret. I know that it is expensive, but I am very happy with it. I now have access to all of the fragrances in that incredible line, in amounts which will afford many full wears and endless hours of study and fragrant contemplation. Last night was Portrait of a Lady.Today Carnal Flower. They are both utterly beautiful.

No, they have EDP too iivanita. I think that AusLeibeZumDuft have them.

Have a nice trip, iodine.
Happy Friday, all.

I've been waiting for it to get light enough outside so I can dig a hole. The ground will become frozen solid next week, so this is my last chance to dig that particular hole. Yes, I'm some kind of crazy, but as long as I'm happy and not hurting anyone ... right?

What vanilla is that you are wearing, iivanita? Guerlain's AA?

In our news page it says "the record breaking 277 days without snow in upper Mid-West" (Des Moines, Chicago and Milwaukee included) that last time happened back in 1889. We want some white in our Great Big North already, and dreaming of a white Christmas in our Winter Wonderland, every day.

Received 28 new to me smellies from the British Royal Mail -- thanks to our two BNers! -- started sniffing them already. First was Serge Lutens Une Voix Noire that LadyM sings praises to on a weekly basis. I like boozey apricots right out of the can in it, the rest of development reminds me strongly of Carolina Hererra (original, 1998?, with golden polka dots) which is more affordable and about the same long-lasting. Very nice substitute if you are a tuberose fan, but if you are Mimi -- not so very much.

My SotD will be Profumo Abdessalaam Tawaf (sounds just like my name, doesn't it)?

iodine - you're off to Basel and coincidentally Art Basel is in Miami this week (this city is CHOCK FULL OF TOURISTS!!! It took me 30 minutes to get home last night when it usually takes 10). Have fun!

Good morning, goodsmellingpersons. L'Artisan Mechant Loup today, and I will call it synchronized as wolves belong in the great white north, down here we have alligators instead. Though I did read a fantastic short story about werewolves in the swamp once...well here it is, found it! Audio version, could not find text online, but worth your time if you like fantasy and fairy tales.

Glad you had a nice evening G.! Your mum's LC story is cool bananas, indeed!

Have a wonderful trip, iodine! Believe that's L'Artisan's discontinued Vanilia she's referring to, Twolf. I like that ylang in there, too, iodine!

No.5 for me today. Hope you all have a happy friday!

Have a wonderful holiday, iodine!

Twolf, there are rumors that we might see a 1/2 inch of fast-disappearing snow here in Omaha on Sunday. Crossing my fingers. I want my 4th season, dammit!

Happy Friday to my fabulously fragrant friends!

Ava Luxe Opoponax Intense today. Utterly out of synch.

I know exactly how this doggie feels!
Sofie & I stopped for some kitten therapy the other day. I had a kitten on my head and another on my shoulder. It was hysterical. So much for the "sophisticated" fragrance collector!

SOTD is Niege by Lise Watier "Neiges fragrance perfectly captures the exquisite magic and purity of winter with a unique bouquet of white hyacinth, lily of the valley, Christmas rose, night-blooming jasmine, magnolia and orange blossom." http://www.lisewatier.com/eng/produc...ray/edp_neiges

On another note........

How stupid can a person be?

Last drops of Une Fleur de Cassie. I need someone to push me over the edge...

I also believe that iivanita refers to Vanilia by L'Artsan of which I used last few drops as well.

Ooooh so you got it!! Hehe nice to hear that, and what do you think?

Remember you said you don't want to even try it after what some of us said about it, i tried it several times and just doesn't stick
on my skin, i think its much better on fabrics maybe, and i got used to naturals now much better, they do all smell rawish but basicly nose likes them , its never offended hehe

@ Foustie hello my dear , thank you so much, i went there but no edp samples, also i wanted to order perfume but minimum order size is higher, then cost of samples, and you cant order them 2

Also does anyone know where you can buy veroprofumo in London:-) ? Thank you much!

Hehe yes that's the one!, i love it so much!! From abdesalaam profumo you have Tasneem that resembles much to Vanilia:-)

Un fleur de cassie resembles to me in architecture to Le temps d un fette, both delicate yet dirty beneath, and so feminine:-) , i think i would like the later one slightly better, smells touch more natural

Wore my tester of Heeley Cardinal. Not that happy with it; it's daintier than I like from the get go, and seems to have soured on me a little after a day of wear.

Ambre Sultan for a great dinner with friends. No wine, though. Instead, a fabulous oak-aged Flemish sour and, for dessert, a double chocolate stout. YUMMY!!
