Prada Amber Intense

I LOVE Prada Amber. I love sweet scents. I love the smell of incense (want to try it in cologne). Really want to try an EDP of a cologne too for the longevity. I should like this one right? Opinions?

Try first, IMO it's quite different from the original.

If you like the smell of incense then perhaps Full Incense by Montale might work for you.

Different in what way?

I'll keep that in mind.

Been a while since I smelled it. All I remember is that it was quite different from the original, and I didn't care for it. I do like the original.

Got a bottle yesterday and I am currently wearing it. On the top it has surprise citrus and a little of the original in the background. As it gets into the heart and the base a vanilla and incense comes up and it transforms into a dark berry feel with a hint of sweet amber. At first I was like oh its the original with a little vanilla then boom the sweet amber and vanilla with a hint of powder and fruit kicks in. I like it myself, but definitely have it sampled with a full spray on ya to see if u like the powder vibe you kind of get. Longevity is going on about 6 hrs. but I can tell its getting closer to the skin.

I also have a bottle and while i really like it, it is not as good as the original imo.

I tried it once walking through Macy's and I found it to be quite a bit better than the original IMO.

If you like sweet scents, then you will like Amber Intense. IMO would not classify this as "older," unless relative to Fierce...

I love this one! Smells expensive.

So there is no touch point betweene this two... If u wish for incense based scent go for Kyoto, Zagorsk, Avignone.... Gucci PH... Arso, there are great incense based frag.
Prada PH Intense is not that sweet ( on me ) ... If u like ( wish ) something sweet there are mouch better choices

Is this one strong enough for the club?
Smells like scented candles and soap IMO horrid
post #14 of 19
I wanted to like it, but find it quite synthetic the more I wear it. It is indeed strong enough for a "club" setting, and at first has a clean, soapy vibe, but the soap gets fakey over time. I have this problem with other Prada scents as well.

No, the EDT has better projection and longevity.
I find this fragrance quite beautiful and elegant.

It seemed relatively strong when I tried it on skin at Sephora a few months back... The real question is it good?... Now that is another story entirely. I have certainly tried much worse, but can't really recommend it.

Agree - not very pleasant at least to me.

It has amazing longevity and is pretty strong. I very much like it. It is different than Prada Amber pour Homme.

I can't really say if this is a "club" scent. I think it seems much more like romantic dinner type of scent.

Also, let me agree with the posts above, I don't get that much incense from this scent. There is myrrh in it, but it is more of a "soapy" myrrh rather than incense myrrh, and the myrrh is more of a top / mid notes phenomenon rather than a base.

Also, the drydown is heavy on the patchouli on me. It is a patchouli mixed with vanilla and cocoa (and yet not that sweet), so if you like patchouli / vanilla / cocoa you should defintely give it a try. But as you see from the above the scent polarizes, so try before you buy.
