Just came back from Carindale and low and behold, a Chanel pop-up store has appeared outside DJs ground level. And they have the Les Exclusifs there!!
The Chanel rep said the proper beauty and fragrance store would be opening late December and will continue to stock Les Exclusifs. It's being built in the vacant shop next to DJs ground level - opposite Kookai and next to Leona Edmiston.
Can you believe it? Myer and DJs at Carindale had better get with it - these stores' fragrance options are dire. Only mainstream.
The rep also advised me she had both Myer and DJs store managers come down and abuse the Chanel staff for opening the pop-up store on Monday last week. It was all fit out on Sunday night without anyone's knowledge.
Bring on competition! Hopefully we will see better niche representation in Carindale too!
