Hi, guys. I know that they are different between them, but if u had to pick just one, what´d be your choice@
post #2 of 30
I love them both but prefer Terre d'Hermes.
I really don't care for either, with TDH getting the slight favor.

There's no competition, really, Sycomore is about a trillion levels above Td'H...

Td'H Pure Perfume and Chanel Sycomore are both near the top of my favorite and most versatile fragrances, but I find Sycomore more interesting.

I own both but if I had to choose - Td'H

That's it, I'm buying a sample of Sycamore.

I have loved Sycomore for a while, but come to hate it after a time.
TdH I have owned a bottle since it came out in 2006 and have always come back to it. I call it my signature scent. Much more interesting than the dry, smoky Sycomore.
TdH for me all the way, but worth owning both if you can cope with Sycomore aldehyde opening!

this.

Sycomore is good!

Sycomore is the better of the two though Terre De Hermes is a wonderful frag.

I'm a woman, but I also have to say Sycomore
I'm a great fan of Hermes, but I never really liked Terre... It smells too harsh...not in a good way.

Sycomore is something special.

Voted for Terre d'Hermes. I tried to like Sycomore, but vetiver scents are just not me. Maybe with time.

Terre D Hermes

For awhile there, I didn't particularly dig either of them. Then I did a 180 on both. When I was on the clock to pick one, I picked TdH EDT and PP (so I voted TdH), but I'll very likely end up snagging a bottle Sycomore sometime in the foreseeable future.

Sycamore is classier & more professional. Love the smoky vetiver.

I wear both. Sycomore. Although I think the TDH Parfum gets more attention but it's got better sillage and lasting power.
Both are good, though I don't wear them very often.

Of the two, I'd prefer Chanel Sycomore, though Terre De Hermes is probably a better value for your money.

That's a nearly impossible one to choose from - they are so different. I could see picking between two very similar scents, like two similar vetiver interpretations, but TdH is not in the same family as Sycomore. There may be some vetiver in it, but the overall scent is vastly different from Sycomore. It would be more appropriate to do Sycomore vs Encre Noir poll - alas, that one has already been done to death a number of times :-)

Own and like both, for different moods and different occasions, so I'll refrain from voting as both are a staple in my collection that I use frequently. TdH gets more compliments from others. Sycomore is more for my own enjoyment.

I think Terre d'Hermes is much better and more interesting.

I wouldn't compare them. The difference is like a hawk from the moon.

Sycomore
