List of mens Eau De Parfums (EDP's)

Hello all,

as we all know, men's fragrances mostly come in EDT format these days, and very rarely in EDP. I'm just wondering if anyone out there would post names of mens fragrances that come in EDP ? It doesn't matter for my purposes if they are still in production or discontinued. I can start the ball rolling by naming three :

Boucheron Pour Homme
Jaipur Pour Homme
Opium by YSL

Many thanks in advance.

Does it come in a parfum version or is it just the extreme version that can be in parfum?

Habit Rouge

I believe only the extreme version is edp concentration.

Too many really in EDP. I will list three in Pure Parfums:

Terre D'Hermes 200ml
Black Oud 100ml by LM Parfums (Laurent Mazzone Parfums)
Clive Christian No. 1

All are Pure Parfums which are less common for men.

Lots on Guerlain. Not just LIDGE and Habit Rouge, but Heritage and Guerlain Homme Intense too.

Amazingly, Grey Vetiver is listed as EDP (I would not have believed it myself, but John Lewis and Selfridges have it as EDP).

Edit: thought of some more.

Hanae Mori H.M

The Lalique "animal" trio (Lion, Equus, Faune)

From this list, especially TDH, Habit Rouge, eau Sauvage, Jaipur, Opium PH and Boucheron PH are, in my opinion, truly noteworthy and outstanding.

Is this a designer list?

Because in the niche world, well, it's pretty common:
Divine
Histoires de Parfums
MDCI
Parfum D'Empire
Slumberhouse

...

I think all Nasomattos are actually parfum extraits.

As someone who has bought lots of women's EDPs (as presents) it is pretty obvious to me that the reason there aren't that many men's EDPs is because they usually aren't necessary. Most men's EDTs have woody or leathery bases that easily outlast the longevity of the floral bases of women's EDPs. Former girlfriends and current wife often lamented having women's EDPs that were only good for four hours before effectively disappearing.

I don't think we are missing out by not having a lot of EDPs, except where the new breed of relatively weak scents are concerned. An EDP version of say Joop Homme, Aramis or L'Eau D'Issey would be somewhat over the top.

Renato

The whole Montale line, as far as I know, is EDP.

Actually I've been thinking of narrowing experimentation to EDP's because I'm not having great luck with longevity in most EDT's. So thanks for the thread!

Whether they call them EDP or not, in terms of concentration and perceived strength pretty well any Amouage Man, By Kilian Back to Black, some of Malles would qualify, a number of the Guerlains . . .

Creed (and others for Creed) claim all the Creed Millesime's are of Edp strength.

Note Perfumeintelligence.co.uk lists some Creeds as Edp's and some as Millesime Edp's without giving definition of the difference, if any:

This.
Every sample of Creed I have received has claimed to be an EDP

Wowee Zowee,

21 responses ! Many thanks to all of you who have taken the time to respond, not only the actual time to log in and type, but for sharing your knowledge which has taken a long time to acquire. I really do appreciate it.

The responses above throw up more questions, but I'll start with one :

Would I be correct in assuming the men's "fragrance concentration" categories is as follows, moving from least concentrated to most :

after shave
eau de cologne
eau de toilette
eau de parfum
pure parfum

Thanks again.
