Why did this have to happen...

Thread Starter
I think one of my favorite fragrance of all time is... Tea for Two. Why does it have to be a fragrance that is so hard to find? Does anyone know where it is still available? It's not available on L'Artisan's site, Strawberrynet, Neiman Marcus, MiN New York, etc. Is there ANY online store that have it IN stock? Why couldn't my favorite be a fragrance that is still in production? I'm glad I found one of my favorite fragrances, but not if there are no bottles to be found once I run out of my 90 mL.

It shows up on eBay. Not just decants, but bottles, too.

Do a Saved Search so you get an email alert from eBay when one is listed. A check of completed listings will show you how much they tend to go for.

Tough when that happens.
If you find something you truly love, then back-up (and then back-up some more).
Sooner of later it will be discontinued or reformulated.

L'Artisan has been known to discontinue some fragrances for a while then bring them back to the line-up. Certainly getting a second bottle if you can would be wise, but there's a reasonable chance they will be more readily available again.

Yes, it was totally discontinued. But it pops up on say Brandalley sales, also in TJMaxx.

QVC UK are selling L'Artisan, I believe they are trying to get rid of some of the discontinued fragrances as they are on their website and on air. But also do the regular range as well. Some of the fragrances are now only available in 100mls, but TFT is totally gone. It has been mentioned one here a number of times.

QVC only ship to the UK and some parts of Europe. Most of us complain about the postage and slow shipping from them. Penhaligons as also started to sell on QVC UK as well.

I have a vintage old style cap 50mls bottle of TFT.

+ 1. Happens often. It then gets expensive or just plain difficult to track it down.

If you find something you like, buy it. If you find something you really like, buy several. Just in case...

I'll keep an eye out for you. I drive by TJ Maxx every day anyways.

I saw one bottle a few weeks ago, don't remember what fragrance it was but it was still about $60. That's probably why I didn't get around to looking closely at the name.

Ebay is probably your best bet.

You can also try the smaller shops in whatever your closest bigger city is. I live in a city with a not-bad/not-fantastic range of stores (Macys, one Nordstrom, a Neiman Marcus that's closing) -- but out in the expensive suburbs there's one small nice fragrance store (Serge Lutens, Maison Francis K, Penhaligons) that carries several L'Artisans, and when I went there earlier this year they had one bottle of Tea for Two left. They had to look for it in the back, actually!

So there's that route, to try at least. Good luck.

As I said they have given some old stock to QVC and online sales sites. But you check their site and its not there any more. It was officially discontinued. But QVC when they have an hour of the fragrances are not going to tell their customers that. Also selling at full retail price, when its less than half else where.

Check this thread

It was confirmed as discontinued.

Sorry TKMaxx the UK one had it about a year ago, along with a few other L'Artisan's, around £24.99 for 50mls. I bought Voleur de Roses. I thought the US TJMaxx would also have them?

Such a sad reality with loving a fragrance is knowing it may not be in production forever. Those scents that you truly love, stock up on them now. Ask yourself the qst .....am I ready to keep this fragrance as a favorite , say 20 years down the road . If yes then buy those bottles now. Prepare now for the future. What a ringing endorsement of your favorite scent, when you are willing to stock up for years to come..
