How do you assemble a bottle of Montale perfume?

I bought 'Aromatic Lime'. It comes with the atomiser and a dangling clip with the logo on it*. From images I see the clip goes underneath the atomiser but seems to act as a lock? I was wondering whether or not you could keep the clip where it is and spray or would you have to unattach it every time you wanted to use it (or keep it off the whole time)?

*Unhappy it scratched my bottle in the pouch it comes in *

Thanks.

The clip is a lock, to stop the sprayer being depressed by accident. You remove it in order to apply the scent.

I confirm this. I like the idea of the clip.

Other manufacturers use this method also.

The clip is charming. The bottle not that much, but it have a very good concept, though.

Agent Provocatuer uses simmilar clips but for much nicer bottles.

The bottle looks quit cheap, but the clip make it look a lot better.

I think I saw that Le Male also use clip as spray lock.

Aha. Thank you very much. Yes, the clip does make it look much better. Otherwise it would just be a plain black can with a little writing on it.

I love Montale and have several bottles of various fragrances by them...but ever since a friend commented that the bottles look like fire extinguishers that is all I see...ugly fire extinguishers. by the way, did you know the atomizer unscrews to give you access to the inside of the bottle? great for doing travel atomizers or decants!

Yes, Montale charge you $150+ for an aluminum can and an awesome loooking clip.

You can leave it unattached if you don't want to fiddle with it every time you want a spritz. It's just needed for transport/travelling as they don't have a cap.

I reckon they look pretty cute.

That's interesting to know though as I thought they were completely sealed. I picked up my bottle for $115 for 100mL at 'The Perfume Shoppe'.

1) Remove can from pouch.
2) Unscrew top.
3) Pour contents into toilet.
4) Flush toilet.
5) Throw empty can into garbage (unless local hazardous material laws require other disposal method.)
