Fragrances with well blended Oud notes

I have come to like Fragrances with Oud notes well blended and not too obvious. I have some nice designer scents with oud notes hidden deep down somewhere and I am not a big fan of the funky and real Oud scents. Here are some of the ones that I have either tried, love and own.

YSL M7 Vintage and reformulated (Love)
Fahrenheit Absolute (Love)
Halston Man Amber (Love)
Nasomatto Black Afgano (Like)
Montale Black Aoud (Like)
Le labo Rose 31 (Love)
Ferrari Essence Oud (Like)
By kilian Amber Oud (Love)
Creed Royal Oud (Like)
Tom Ford Oud Wood (Neutral)
Amber Oud by Rasasi CPO (Neutral)

Based on the above can you guys give me recommendations? Would like to add more well blended Oud fragrances. I have already placed an order for 24 Gold (blind buy) and would like to add 4 more (Niche or Designer).

I'd highly recommend Aftelier's 100% natural Oud Luban, whilst it's natural oud, it's smoothed and rounded into something not at all challenging or animalic or dirty - it's buttery soft, subtle and really beautiful.

m7 is my favorite oud fragrances, and it's probably in my top 20 fragrances of all time

Some of my favorite ouds are..

Dior Leather Oud
Ormonde Jayne Man
Xerjoff Mamluk
Amouage Opus V
Mona Di Orio Oud

+1 Ormonde Jayne Man, I think that suits what you're after perfectly.

A good sleeper is 24 Gold.

Would recommend LM Parfums Black Oud Parfum

+1 Mona di Orio

The new CK Encounter has a subtle oud accord. Not terrible, but certainly cheap smelling

Songe d'un Bois d'Ete (Guerlain) is the most interesting and original 'oud in an ensemble piece' I have come across so far. The oud works as part of a three dimensional composition - my guess is that Wasser has tucked the Leather Oud 'wood chips' accord into the base and it serves as an interesting and quite seamless extension from the more 'cedar-ish' wood in the heart.

Love love love M7.

Halston Man Amber has a nice subdued oud note.

Habit Rouge EdP (in the red leather jacket bottle)

L'Artisan Parfumeur Al Oudh - with just a slight dose of oud
post #18 of 43
Have you tried the other By Kilian oud series - Incense Oud, Pure Oud or Rose Oud?

Or how about MFK Oud?

Also +1 on Ormonde Jayne Man if you don't have longevity issues that I have with it.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, these two tangentially remind of me M7:

10 Corso Como
Saffron, Cardamom, Amber by Korres

Bought Al Oudh and didn't like it at all. It's since been sold to someone that will appreciate it.

Ormonde Jayne keeps popping up, will have to order a sample.

I like 10 corso como a lot

Oh, one more I thought of:

Opus VI from Amouage (there is no oudh note listed, but I'd swear there's a fabulous one in the drydown)

You can get the Korres frag easily on Ebay...

I'll be curious to see what you think...

Another vote for Habit Rouge in the EDP. This also came in the limited edition chrome bottle covered with stirrups.

Hajar al Aswad by Surrati, cheap as chips, gorgeous oud, musk, vetiver and spice mix.

One can make real finds in local islamic bookstores and corner stores...

Montale Wild Aoud - A golden, well blended, spicy and woody aoud... great stuff!

This and Leather Oud are my faves so far.

I'm not a huge fan of raw unadulterated Oud so I enjoy fragrances like M7, M7 Fresh, Aoud 1, and Royal Oud.

Robert Piguet Oud
I can see what you mean by 'well blended'. I can totally recommend these two:

- Amouage Epic Man; the oud in those is very toned down and works quite well with the frankincense and myrrh notes
- AdP Colonia Intensa Oud Concentree may sound like a crazy combination, but the oud really is married well with the general citrus theme of the AdP line. It really reminds me of the Mediterranean and Middle East in some magnificent combination of both.

Edit: Yikes, forgot the Korres!! It was my first oud officially and I agree it's a great interpretation of what can be done with this note.
So glad you like the Korres! It's really a lovely, little known oudh... I've been on a bit of a kick in the last year to sample different oudhs from around the world - nothing (or no one) I've ever met has such a range (floral to woody to forest floor to barnyardy). In smelling all the M7-y things, I can't help but assume that it's not real oudh, but some isolated molecules, as the real thing has such an unreproducable range. It's such a blast to dive deeply into a single note... Have fun!
Although it isn't listed in the notes, I get a subtle oud note in the dry down of an extremely underrated and hard to find fragrance, from the house of Nickel, called Enemy/Ennemi.

Bond Harrods Oud Patchouli - a wonderful blend of oud, davana (think grapes and wine), honey, myrrh, flowers (rose is listed, I pick up some jasmine too), amber, sandalwood and an animalic leather (I definitely get some castoreum in this). It's fairly fruity thanks to the davana (and jasmine), but is grounded by the dark leather, smoky oud and dry sandalwood. The dry down has a lot in common with Opus VI, but is better imo due to the leather and animalic facets. A very rich and regal, opulent scent. In a review someone said "You will smell like the three wise men" and it's true.

"Oud pour Lui", by Alyssa Ashley, a great scent . Why nobody count it in?
Korres is a great value option. Decent longevity and very smooth.
By far my favortie oud is By Kilian Pure Oud. It is subtle. It is pretty. And it has lots of character.
My sample of the day today is Fireside Intense by Sonoma Scent Studio. It immediately brought me to this thread. A very well blended oud note, and an amazing scent. Think Tobacco Vanille meets Tuscan Leather, but not a huge projection beast like those 2; and an added smooth oud note. The overall effect: Smooth leather, sweet vanilla, silky oud, and burning woods. Very camphorous. good stuff here.
Mentioned already, but I would say by Kilian Incense Oud, Bond No. 9 New York Oud, Brueckner Aoud 1, and Armani Prive Oud Royal.

Also Heeley Agarwoud is one of my favorites, and worth a look.
