London Christmas Sales

Lady newbie comes in peace! I am very new on the fora and eager to make friends

I thought I would post a thread about January sales in my hometown (London UK)

I live very close to a lot of major department stores, and close enough to a few niche perfumeries.

I will be visiting quite a few of them in the upcoming weeks and I wanted to let my fellow base noters of any good deals I come across (some stores may ship overseas)

And so....

The Harrods online sale has started. Online, there are up to 50% discounts on selected L'artisan, Miller Harris, Annick Goutal and penhaligon and Diptyque. These discounts are also available in the store, but some selling out fast. I couldn't find Mure et Musc in the store, apart from the solid perfume and shower gel.

I bought L'artisan Mimosa pour moi and Diptyque Eau Duelle at 50% off. I was tempted by limited edition AG Leau hadrien but resisted. I'm saving for some other scents.

There are a lot of designer fragrance gift sets on sale too but the store is packed. I couldn't see any Dior, Creed or Chanel on sale.

I will update this thread with more sale info as I go. Feel free to add your own deals!

I wish I lived just little bit closer... Actually a whole lot closer, by about 10 or 12 hours by air transportation.

I live in St Albans and the boxing day sales are going to be very frag driven!

I have my eye on Chanel Allure Edition Blanche and Gucci Guilty... Have you got your eye on anything?

SpaceNK is now selling some Diptyque at 50% off

I can confirm that the house of Fraser at Westfield mall (white city) has a small stock of Guerlain on sale: I saw some insolence, samsara, l'heure blue at 25% off. I'm sure there were other scents as well, but I had to run away as the parking meter was running out!

Musst admit that I checked online at Les Senteurs' sale and was very disapointed. Too many candles to make one's house smell like a cabbage patch. Who wants their house to smell of cucumber sandwiches???

As promised, I strolled over to Les Senteurs yesterday (ok, it was a 3 mile walk!)

There is no sale to speak of. But what a store. Fabulous haven. Husband and I spent an hour sniffing. I bought Molinard Nirmala (could have got it cheaper elsewhere but I wanted to buy something, the service was so great and husband and I both will wear it)

Very unobtrusive staff, we tested loads on paper (at least 40) and I asked for and received 4 samples. Later got home and discovered 3 more Frederic Malle samples in my bag. And now my husband is going back to get me Carnal Flower for Valentine's day. Damn, I'm hooked!

Indeed it was. I usually buy all my samples and full bottles online. But it's so nice to be able to test from the full bottle sometimes and their recommendations for my husband were spot on. I will be going back!

Can I just add that there is actually a bit of a sale on in Les Senteurs according to their newsletter but it's mainly body products etc. Still..... might get something that tickles your fancy! Also Space NK still have some stuff on sale online, Diptiques among them.
