Cult favourites which you personally don't care for

Thread Starter
I was at Bloomingdales yesterday and spent a lot of time at the Tom Ford counter testing all the Private Blend fragrances. Tobacco Vanille is arguably the most popular and raved about Private Blend, but for the life of me, I just don't 'get it'. It's not so much the fragrance not suiting my skin chemistry than that I simply dislike it. There are fragrances which don't work on my skin but which I can appreciate, but Tobacco Vanille just smells bad to me, full stop.

Are there any cult favourites which YOU personally dislike? Here's my list:

Tobacco Vanille
Frédéric Malle L'eau D'Hiver
L'Artisan Dzing

Rose 31
Guerlain Vetiver

Not only don't I 'get' Tobacco Vanille, I don't 'get' Neroli Portofino either.

Also:

Farenheit
Body Kouros
A* Men
Blenheim Bouquet

Mitsouko
Knize 10

Chergui
Terre d'Hermes
GIT

Me too. I have yet to get this line. I'm sure I will, eventually, but it may be years.

Nasomatto Pardon is also one I can't handle.

Tobacco Vanille and Tuscan Leather are both "no thanks" for me.

I never say never. Sometimes it takes years, but a scent can "click" for me after a long time. Fahrenheit is a great example. And I'm starting to get Habit Rouge now.

Too many to mention, but a few that immediately come to mind...

Aventus
Jicky
La Myrrhe
Black Afgano
Egöiste

The old Guerlains...except Habit Rouge and Coriolan.

Fahrenheit
Kouros
TdH & Encre Noire
GIT (don't so much dislike.. just thought it was nothing at all special. Over-hyped).

A lot of them. Most of the time I can at least see why they're popular or well-liked. Rarely do I 'feel it' for myself, though.
Lalique Encre Noire
Azzaro Azzaro
Guerlain Vetiver
Serge Lutens Chergui
Hermes Terre d'Hermes
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur

...loads more.

I don't know if we are going to have much luck with Lutens as they are being reformulated already. The line has gone 'pop' and apparently, so have the ingridients.

Too easy.

Caron Un Pour Homme
Egoiste
Jicky
Derby
Habit Rouge
Heritage
Aventus

...and most "older" fragrances. They smell way too dated for me.

DHI and TDH

A*Men. I do not get the love for that at all.
Don't judge a fragrance from one testing.

One full spray of Tobacco Vanille can be over-powering.

How do you know that? Which ones are being reformulated?

Never mind. Still love the house anyway.

Egoiste, Jicky, TDH, Shalimar just to name a few.
A*men
Musc Ravageur
Amouage jubilation
New Harlem
L'instant by Guerlain. Very over hyped cocoa

A*Men is wretched. I also think Kouros is vile.

Kouros

GIT. There's something screechy in this. I'm not very good on note identification, but I think it might be the violet leaf.
Habit Rouge - Old, dated. Only suitable for the elderly.
Too many to count, 3 or 4 of which already mentioned in here so I shall not name them as they could well be somebody's favorites. On me they are simply wretched.
Me too with Fahrenheit. It smells vile on me but I can appreciate that it smells good on others.
Kouros.
Fahrenheit
LIDGE.

Probably more, but I can't think of them haha.

ADG- if it may be called a cult classic, either way, never gotten myself to enjoy this one or even show moderate interest in the possibility of eventually wearing or liking it.
I appreciate leather frags but Dior Leather Oud and Pure Leather is just not for me.
Le Labo. Style over substance across the board.
Chergui and the Morracian Desert one from Andy Tauer were the first two to come to mind. I've also never found the love for Habit Rouge, Musc Ravageur, Caron PH, Aventus, Blenheim Bouquet. A*Men I've only smelled once and never felt the desire to try it again.

Spiritueuse Double Vanille and Tonka Imperiale. SDV seemed alright, but not great. TI was a bit too feminine for me. Neither justified the price point.
