Are any Xerjoff frags worth the price?

I know this is a highly subjective subject, but what do you all think of Xerjoff fragrances related to price? I've been looking at several, but even the cheaper ones are $265 for $50 mL, which seems steep to me.

I've never smelled any of them, so should I bother? 1861 has interested me in the past, as well as Kobe/Nio/Uden.

There are some fragrances i would never buy, regardless of how good they are, due to their price. As a result, i don't see the point in buying samples of them. Xerjoff is one of those. But it depends on your wallet.

Though the price they charge is way to expensive they do use top notch ingredients like in 1861. I just have not as yet found any I want to purchase.

Though saying that they have just released a whole new range of frags at more reasonable prices. Check them out here:

Al-Khatt and Zafar are very nice, but you would rather buy the discovery set instead of a bottle, I think

I loved Irisss (with three sss) - a big hissy iris. But the price is unreasonable. Still - who knows. I have, after all, bought a couple of JAR.

No not really worth the price in my opinion. I like some of their fragrances and own a couple. Their high prices tell me they are still in the "artisanal - baby steps - experimentation phase" of their fragrance enterprise. At some point they will realize that its time to get out on the street and get serious.

Discovery set's and samples are the way to go all the Xerjoff frags IMHO have great throw and great longevity. They will last awhile u don't need much.

They make some very nice scents. They last forever, and are very high quality, plus the bottles are gorgeous. Some of my favs of the ones I've sampled are Kobe, Uden, Mefisto, and Malmuk, but I also cannot justify the price. I did come very close on a bottle of Kobe once, but decided against it last minute.

In Italian, the somewhat silly name sounds unmistakeably close to the name Sergio.

1861 appears to be pretty reasonable in pricing. Around US$230 for 100ml bottle which I think is similar to Amouage etc

Firstinfragrance has the Join The Club line already. Feels like they are too many and trying too hard to please.
And I'd choose Amouage over X any second.

Hard to say. Kobe is very nice, but I think it would be more appropriately priced around $100 less than they're asking. At $265 for 50ml you really have to love the fragrance.

They are outpacing Bond #9 with their releases. Fragrantica shows 52 Xerjoffs in their database already... in what, like, 3 years?

1861, Kobe, Richwood, Al-Khatt, Zafar I enjoy alot. Whether they are worth the money is as always dependent on what you're budget is.

I think most people would be satisfied with 10-20ml of each as they have excellent longevity and don't need heavy application.

Only tried two - Zhafar and Gao. Would certainly be tempted by one of these once my decants run out. As Kron implies though, maybe further decants are in order; hell my current decants will probably last me anyway.......

In conclusion, they are 'worth' the price IMO as they are incredible fragrances. I would not complain however, if they halved their prices.

At first when I tried some of the shooting stars, I sort of laughed them off, as they didn't smell "niche" enough, and I thought they were just sort of a cash grab (which they probably are). But like others have said, they are made of high quality stuff, and they do project and last FOREVER. I got a tiny bit from my neck on my shirt collar, and that stuff survived the washing machine, and I could still smell it after it had been washed.

Uden is nice, and the more I've worn the sample I have, the more I've been considering the possibility of maybe going in for a FB someday.

If it's worth the money or not, as echoed before, is quite subjective.

Some are and some aren't.

I liked Kobe very much.

On top in terms of quality. Feels like smelling a real orange blossom.

I was pretty disappointed with 1861. Everyone says it smells so natural, but I just don't get it. It gave the people around me legitimate headaches as well, so that's a no-go.

The ouds are certainly worth trying if only because they are interesting well balanced compositions. If you find
something that really suits you then the money issue is one you have to determine. I was always very impressed with GAO,
but it's strong stuff, not for the faint-hearted. Sometimes these day I get a Comet cleanser note from GAO. Once an impression
like that gets in your head it's hard to shake.

Perhaps overpriced but amazing. Homme is a classic, Oroville is great and sticks around for days. Most of the Oud Stars are incredible especially Zafar, Najaf and Gao and some of the JTCs are great too. As said before the Discovery sets are better value, but if you can afford them or see a good deal, they are amazingly rich so go for it! Ive got 6 of them and a discovery set and still pondering on a few more. Most definitely more money than sense!

This is my response when someone says "How can you spend that much on cologne?" Answer is simple, because I can and because I like it. Now when it comes to quality versus the price tag then yes that depends on what you are looking at. While I like Kobe I didn't like it enough to want to spend that much money on it. However I cannot deny the quality in the juice. If I had like it a lot I would have bought it and never thought twice about it.

I don't have a lot of money (I'm a student and work extra as a nursing assistant at nights and weekends) but I do not think twice when I find a perfume that touches me. In 2012 I spent >2.000$ on perfume and I know it's crazy. I pay my bills so I'm not irresponsible, just very very fascinated with smells. If I want something I'd rather work three extra nights (or seven: to pay for Keiko Mecheri's Cuir Fauve, which in Sweden costs 415$) than to not get the perfume. I'm fortunate to have a job and I do not wish to offend anyone with my squandering, so I apologize if I sound presumptuous!

So my point: some may never want to pay Xerjoff-prices no matter how much money they have because they find the perfume being overprized, and some may think the experience is priceless, no matter how much (or little) money they have.

I've only smelled the Casamorati 1888 - and Bouquet Ideale really touched me. A few more nights work and I'll be able to afford it.

I've tried Oroville, XJ Homme and Casamoroti 1888. XJ Homme was a Knize Ten clone, but costing much more. 1888 was pleasant, but not exceptional. Oroville was a stunning tobacco and chamomile fragrance, topping most any tobacco based fragrance I've tried. I prefer it to Tobacco Vanille and Back to Black, although I like DC 1913 and Amouage Tribute Attar even more (although I consider these rose fragrances where the tobacco is in the background). I've considered a purchase of Oroville, but the price makes it hard to justify. I didn't have to think twice with Tribute Attar.

I have tried Kobe and 1861. Even though I thought that 1861 was a very good citrus based fragrance it is in no way worth the money. This fragrance house has a great presentation but I can't do a $350 bottle of a citrus based fragrance that lasts 3-4 hours.
