Good almost-afternoon everyone! Only two days until my vacation -- 6 days in hopefully-sunny SoCal with the BF, including a visit to Scent Bar!

I'm in Kerosene Copper Skies today.

Good afternoon!

Like some others we had some snow. Not a lot, just enough to leave icy slush that needed to be shoveled.

My husband is in the process of reconstructing our cat's outdoor shelter (it's enclosed with clear plastic so he can look out but be protected from the wet and wind) so he is stuck indoors, bored out of his wits, and looking to play with us. I have toys I haul out for just such times.

SoTA is Mandorlo di Sicilia.

21 Costume National: It's the perfect combination of spicy and creamy.

30 Roses, I understand how your furry friend is feeling. My cats are indoor cats, and we have a lot of toys They usually ignore the store-bought kitty toys, though, and make the most unusual objects their preferred play things--most recently it was a piece of cranberry that fell on the floor (and wrapping paper).

My human child is stuck in the house today because of bad cough, and she is editing carefully every single word I am writing... Time to go....

Good on you (AGAIN!): responsible pet owner, attentive pet mom, and good environmentalist. Cat owners never believe this, but letting felines run loose is detrimental on so many levels. Some of our native bird populations are hanging on by a thread, and even a well-fed cat is a significant predator. Study after study and wildlife videos confirm this.

Wearing an uncustomary one today: Chanel No. 5.

What do I wear tomorrow night? I have a grade school reunion.

I'm wearing vintage Oscar today on what would have been my dad's 78th birthday. My dad gave this bottle of Oscar to me after my step-mother passed, it had been her signature scent. He gave her a big gift set every year for Christmas. I also have the dusting powder, which smells wonderful! This set must be from 1999. I'm still not smelling much, but I bet I smell pretty darn good!

Hugs to all ...

Hi, Quarry!

Right now I'm leaning toward Mazzolari Lei, PG Intrigant Patchouli, or HdP Ambre 114. The decant of Lei is going the fastest of the three. But I never know for sure until I'm there, at the cash register. I tend to be rather spontaneous.

(((shades))) What a lovely way to remember your dad. Mine would have been 79 this past November. My olfactory preferences (orientals, especially ambers and smoky fragrances) are my daily tribute to (and reminder of) him. He adored those, but my mom likes LotV and other soft white florals. He tended to buy her what he liked, rather than what she likes. Ships passing, olfactorally speaking.

It's our last night in Nola. We've enjoyed our time here, but living in a hotel room is getting old. I've been wearing Chantilly, Bal a Versailles, Chamade, L'Heure Bleue, a sample of BK Beyond Love, Drole de Rose, and a sample of No. 5 edp. Mostly I've lived in Bal and Chantilly. The hotel toiletries are lemon verbena scented...I've been enjoying those too, but I am beginning to miss my own things. I didn't visit any perfume shops. I've barely made a dent in what I bought last year at our meet up. I DID, however, go to Sucre today to buy macarons and chocolates (remember those from Avery?)...could not resist those.

Quarry, is that your actual class in the Q School? That's so cute! Which one are you?

Hi, all!
Quick drive-by... wearing Frederic Malle Une Rose today. A Christmas gift from my new hubby. Sweet, sweet man!

Nice to see everyone.

I've been thinking about you and Billy in NOLA, Lilybelle. Where have you been staying. You must tell us as much as you feel up to reporting when you get home.

I took the photo of our combined 4th and 5th grade class (six grades, four-classroom school) Christmas party. Am scanning old pix today to share online and on Kindle tomorrow night.

Thanks for sharing that pic Quarry, cute!
