Vintage Tabarome.

I have this feeling about L'Anarchiste. Also many frags from Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier do the trick (Santal Noble, Parfum d'Habit, Ambre Precieux). I could continue with Grey Flannel and Jubilation XXV.

For me, I feel most "powerful" when wearing:

1. Van Cleef & Arpel Pour Homme, my go-to business cologne (I love this cologne more and more)
2. GIT, my go-to everyday work cologne (lately)
and, surprisingly,
3. Dior Homme (original). I guess maybe it's an "I smell so pretty, and yet I'm going to crush you, little person" thing.

GIT, cool water, polo modern reserve, french lover, chanel PE and Beckam homme are all 'power' scents from my current arsenal.

Narciso Rodriguez for Him has been created to give a signal of the position of power and authorization. A suitable scent for a fraud investigator, insurance inspector, headmaster, high priest, etc.

That rainy grey flowery violet opening set of notes is misleading, imo....

Amouage Homage Attar
amouage tribute attar
Amouage jubilation xxv

For me its Dior Homme and Chanel Antaeus

Great powerhouse theme going here. I like the way you think, bro.

You are absolutely correct about this one. I tried a sample and had to stand back myself. It is potent juice. If you are a vetiver lover, this one is your dream come true.

This is what immediately came to mind when I read the title. Vintage if you can get it, but the latest version is exceptional as well.

If you have to explain to people that you are in charge, then you aren't. And that includes having your fragrance do the talking for you.

I would much prefer to gain power with a great idea and walk into a room smelling of "Gendarme" or "Molecule 01" than try to roar into a room on the fragrance equivalent of a souped up muscle car and try to convince the room that I am in charge because I smell bossy.

Overcompensation is always a danger with such things because it can signal weakness rather than strength.

Power is quiet because it can afford to be. Weakness is loud because it has to be. Babies cry for a reason.

If you've really got the goods to grab the power, go in quietly, politely, confidently, and that includes an elegant but subdued fragrance. Let everyone else talk first.

They'll never see it coming and they won't know what hit them.

Nicely articulated; total agreement here.

I believe most of us know this already, but still choose to play along with the theme.

One Man Show Gold Edition must be added to the list.

+1. Don't you just love it when some of these guys, instead of having fun with the thread, have to get all preachy and philosophical?

Glad to see VanCleef & Arpels PH getting some commentary here. This is one of the best masculine scents ever conceived, IMO.
I would buy it even if it were 2 or 3 times the price it currently goes for.

Tuscan Leather. Look no further.

There are a lot of big leathers showing up in this thread. And those big leathers don't make me think "leader" or "knows what he's doing". They make me think of Burt Reynolds before he went grey, with a black shirt unbuttoned to just above his navel, and a chunky gold chain showing.

Nope, the Scent of Power for me would be a "Big Tobacco". Not some confection like Tobacco Vanille, which frankly is more Vanille that it is Tobacco. No, I mean a scent that smells like I've been squatting in a tobacconists for the last month. The only sweetness being the natural sweetness you get from some pouches of pipe tobacco. I've not found what one out there would give this effect, but I'm sure many of you have.

Kouros but you need to use at least 15 spritzs on upper body and 7-10 spritzs on your legs and butt. (Do it just after taking a shower)

Odin No.7 Tanoke, if only it lasted longer it would be my signature scent, but alas it is too short lived for its price.

The scent of the clueless man that wants power, Joop! Homme Joop!
The scent of the man at peace with his power, either Antico Caruso or Santal Noble.
The scent of the man a little unsure of his power, GIT.
The scent of the obscenely powerful, any thing they damn well please. Amouage Gold, Clive Christian, Old Spice.

For tobacco powerhouses try Vermiel, or Davidoff if you can find it. Also Bogart Pour Homme is a super powered cherry tobacco, Cigar, Cigar Commander, Cuba Red, Tobacco Latino, Quorum, and of course Aramis Havana.
